Today, Microsoft announced a new Age of Empires fan preview event that'll be held on April 10 at 9:00 a.m. PT / noon ET. This event will be streamed live and is set to include reveals for multiple titles like Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition, as well as the upcoming Age of Empires 4.

You can take a look at the teaser below, which includes a small bit of new Age of Empires 4 gameplay.

According to the video description, the reveals will be composed of new gameplay, civilizations and campaigns, so hopefully this means there will be a fair bit of Age of Empires 4 information for fans to dive into. So far, not much has been revealed, though we know that both the English and the Mongols will be factions featured in the game.

Age of Empires 4 was last seen at X019, where the team at World's Edge, a studio at Xbox Game Studios focused on the Age of Empires franchise, talked about what's required in bringing this franchise up to modern times.

  • Awesome, can't wait for this! I just hope they also announce AoE4 will be coming to Xbox with keyboard and mouse support.
  • Man, I hope I get into the beta for this one. I've managed to get into all the other ones. But this would be amazing to test!
