Amazon launches Twitch Prime in the UK

Amazon has announced the company has launched a new premium subscription service on Twitch called Twitch Prime. Included as part of Amazon's overall Prime subscription platform, those who actively use the streaming website will be able to connect their Amazon accounts and enjoy some added benefits.

So just what are the benefits and why should you bother connecting your Amazon account to Twitch, or purchasing Prime altogether? For Twitch, here are the added benefits that are unlocked with an active subscription:

  • £2 off Pre-ordered/newly released video games
  • Bonus channel subscription
  • Monthly releases of characters, vehicles, skins, boosts and additional surprises
  • Ad-free Twitch viewing
  • Prime exclusive chat badge and expanded emotes, chat colors
