Anthem: Legion of Dawn Edition and Kingdom Hearts III discounted to $20 or less

What you need to know

  • Amazon Prime Day 2019 is almost here.
  • Amazon and its competitors are pushing out certain deals early.
  • You can get Anthem and Kingdom Hearts III for $20 or less right now.
  • You can take a look at both games on Best Buy (opens in new tab).

Amazon Prime Day 2019 is almost here, but that hasn't stopped the retailer — and its competitors — from discounting certain games early. Today, Amazon and Best Buy discounted Anthem: Legion of Dawn Edition to just $15. This is quite a steal because the standard edition is also going for $15 right now.

That's not all though, Kingdom Hearts III is also $20 at Best Buy at the moment. Oddly enough, it hasn't been reduced at Amazon. That's one game the retailer can't beat the price on! If you're in the market for two great third-person action games, be sure to take a look at these titles.

Anthem: Legion of Dawn Edition

Anthem is a third-person shared-world shooter along the lines of Destiny. It features a massive jungle setting which you can explore with up to three friends. Anthem may not be worth $60, or more, depending on which edition some gamers picked up at launch, but it's definitely a steal for $15. Instead of simply discounting the normal version of the game, Amazon and Best Buy have decided to reduce the "Legion of Dawn Edition" to $15, which includes some coveted cosmetic items. The suit makes you look like a hybrid of Iron Man and Predator so it's definitely worth it in my opinion.

Kingdom Hearts III

Kingdom Hearts III is another third-person action game that fans have waited for years. It's a fusion of Disney and Final Fantasy which oddly works. Your step into the shoes of Sora, a young boy who has no memory of his past. It's up to you discover what happened to you and stop an evil force from consuming both universes. Given the fact that Japanese role-playing games aren't as popular on Xbox One, the new price of $20 should appeal to many gamers. You can head over to Best Buy and pick it up right now.

Be sure to check out both of these games because they're great experiences. While Kingdom Hearts III is the clear winner here, Anthem has improved over the past few months and its upcoming "Catalysm" event should make the title even stronger.

  • "While the game may not be as great as what was initially teased, it's still a lot of fun with friends." Is it, really?
  • Just in case anyone's wondering the Anthem devs still haven't created a roadmap, they still aren't communicating with the player base and there are currently no plans for future content.
If you think 15 dollars is worth it for a game which 5 out of 75 critics gave a positive review then go ahead. I guarantee there are games out there more deserving of your money though.
