  • The first event, Yule Season, is starting today and comes with a sneak peek at a big update coming to players in early 2021.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a gargantuan game filled with a truly ridiculous level of things to do and explore, but the game isn't going to stop there. Alongside its Season Pass, which will include paid expansions, Ubisoft will release a series of free content updates and periodic seasonal events. These updates will provide regular injections of fresh things to do for players, and the first one is starting today: the Yule Season event in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

With Yule Season, players will be able to expand their Settlements even more with the addition of the Reveller's Hut, which will add a hub for a number of festivals and seasonal events throughout the year. This also kicks off the Yule Season, which starts today, December 17, 2020, and ends on January 7, 2021. This will cover your Settlement in wintery snow and begin festivities, including archery contests, drunken brawls, and a new token system that can be traded in for various rewards like gear and Settlement pieces.

Alongside Yule Season, Ubisoft has also provided a sneak peek at one of the first significant updates planned for Assassin's Creed Valhalla: River Raid. Planned for early 2021 alongside a February 2021 update that will add new skills and abilities, River Raid will bring three new areas to Assassin's Creed Valhalla for players to raid and will include all new treasures, reasons to explore, and more. There will also be a new Jomsviking Hall for the Settlement, so players can recruit even more Jomsvikings for their travels.

It's great to see a game already so jam-packed with content continue to release even more.
