What you need to know

  • Battlefield V is a first-person shooter from EA.
  • The game has received a lot of free updates since launch.
  • A new Mediterranean map will be added on May 30.
  • You purchase the game for $30 on Amazon.

Even though Battlefield V failed to set the charts on fire, it's still a thrilling game which builds upon Battlefield 1. The title has received numerous updates over the past few months, and this week it's about to get another one.

Players are always waiting for new maps to drop, and on May 30, you can take the fight to the Mediterranean. A new trailer details exactly what to expect in a few days.

Available May 30 as a free update to Battlefield V, experience the new Mercury map when the fight moves to the Mediterranean, part of Chapter 3: Trial By Fire. Take on a massive invasion along the Cretan coast, based on the real-life World War II events of Operation Mercury.

It's great to see that Battlefield V keeps on receiving stellar post-launch support. Hopefully, this will attract more players to the game.

In our review, we said, "The lack of polish in some of the systems will get improved with patches, but the missed opportunities with the campaign content frustrate the full package. But ultimately, this is one of the best multiplayer shooters you will play this year, and maybe the best until the next Battlefield."
