Dell just made their 11-inch Windows 8.1 tablet faster and lighter

Dell is upgrading its Windows 8.1-based Venue 11 Pro tablet with some new hardware and a lighter design. The tablet is being marketed primarily to the business sector and will go on sale November 11 with a starting price of $699.99.

The 1.62 pound Dell Venue 11 Pro 7000 now has the new Intel Core M 5Y10a processor with a clock speed of 2.0 GHz, along with 4 GB of RAM and either 64 GB or 128 GB of solid state storage. The 10.8-inch display has a resolution of 1920x1080. Dell says the new version is 15 percent lighter than the previous tablet model and includes a fan-less design. It also comes with a slim keyboard that serves as a cover. On its own it has about 10 hours of battery life but Dell is offering an optional mobile keyboard for the Venue 11 Pro with an extra battery that will give the tablet another 10 hours of use.

The new Dell tablet has a smaller screen than Microsoft's Surface Pro 3 but it is lighter and includes a keyboard cover for its starting price. Which tablet would you prefer: smaller and lighter or larger and more powerful?
