Dishonored 2 and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider are two fantastic first-person stealth experiences. They can be played without killing anyone and look absolutely fantastic running on Xbox One X. While we haven't heard much about these titles over the past few months, that doesn't mean Bethesda has forgotten about them. Today, the company released new patches for both games which adds a slew of unique features.
You can read about the main additions below. However, the "Black and White" mode is probably the highlight of the experience. It seems that this update is designed to encourage gamers to use Bethesda.net. You have to link your account to receive these bonuses.
- Black and White mode: This is a new visual style which makes the game pop.
- Mission+: You can replay missions and use different powers.
- Imperial Assassin's Pack: If you're going to liberate a kingdom, might as well do it in style.
While we would've preferred meaningful additions to the game, changes to the visual style and new ways to enhance replayability are always welcome. If you haven't played Dishonored 2 or Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, be sure to check them both out on the console. They're absolutely phenomenal because they tell amazing stories. Dishonored: Death of the Outsider might not be as great at the proper entry, but Dishonored 2 is definitely one of the best games out there.
Dishonored 2 can be played from two perspectives. You can choose to experience the game as Empress Emily Kaldwin or Royal Protector Corvo Attano. Will you make your way through the game unseen or fully use its brutal combat system? The choice is yours. Players must get Empress Kaldwin's throne back from an usurper by any means necessary.
Dishonored: Death of the Outsider puts you in the shoes of Billie Lurk, once one of Dunwall's most notorious killers-for-hire. Reunited with her old mentor, the legendary assassin Daud, she undertakes the greatest assassination ever conceived: killing the Outsider, a god-like figure whom Billie and Daud see as instrumental to some of the Empire's most disgraceful moments.
