EA Access members can now play the Battlefield V beta

Battlefield V is an upcoming first-person shooter set in World War II. The game features single-player campaign scenarios similar to Battlefield 1. For example, one of the main missions focuses on a female solider, her history, and her family. The developer said that Battlefield V tells the "untold stories of World War II", but it's unclear if they're works of fiction or interactive reenactments.

Today, EA announced that EA Access members — or those who preordered — can play the beta right now, before it's available to everyone else. Just head over to the Xbox Store and search for the Battlefield V Open Beta. Once you reach the page, you'll be able to download it if you have EA Access.

Are you interested in Battlefield V? Let us know. Unlike Battlefield 1, it doesn't seem like Battlefield V is taking the world by storm.

  • No comments 9 hours later? Lol!
  • So I have been jamming since the 4th and I must say that BFV is brilliant so far, the revamped combat system and weapon just feel so fluid and the visuals and maps are just insane, I cant wait to see whats coming in the full release, This game takes me back to my BF3/4 days and i feel like im going to keep playing for a long time to come. I love how refined to classes are now making them all valuable in a squad, like having the recon the only one to be able to spot or the Assault class being able to call in support, everything so far feels really well balanced. Now if excuse me i have some buildings to blow up.
  • The only thing I don't like about the classes is how the Medic role is restricted to SMGs, while every other class has at least a little variation in playstyle. This is deterring me from being a medic 😣
  • I think they locked everything down to the basics for the BETA, once the game is released I have a feeling we will have far more to choose from.
  • Sure, give them your money based on hope
  • Recon is not the only class that can spot. Not sure what you're talking about and this game is nothing like BF3 or 4. Also, no one plays as a team in the beta. Everyone is too scared to die because of the low TTK. So everyone is sniping. Cancelled preorder. #NotDupingMeOutOfMoreMoney
  • I still play BF1 regularly, ill be downloading BFV tonight after work!
  • EA/DICE and the moderators at the battlefield forums page can all go to hell! LOL. They banned me simply for detailing the many many flaws in BF V. LMAO BUTTHURT losers only want ignorant kissups to tickle their ears and telling everyone that theyre doing a great job. They're not. I've played the beta for hours upon hours (which is less than two months away from release and therefore, pretty indicative of the final release experience) and it's horrible. Its Battlefront+CoD with plenty of glitches, hiccups, horrible enemy spawns, useless vehicle exit animations which render you incapable of defending yourself against attackers, poor hit detection, poor TTK,clipping glitches allowing enemies to shoot through mountains and other indestructible objects, and just generally feels cheap and arcadey. The "revamped gameplay" leads to matches where everyone or at least the majority are all camping the health and ammo depots, or sniping from a distance with lazor killing one hit kills. If you like CoD, you're in for a treat. If you like true Battlefield gameplay, then don't waste your time or money I HAD preordered the digital deluxe version but I've decided to cancel my preorder (as have many others) due to the game sucking and due to the butthurt treatment that their forums moderators have displayed. EA/DICE and the forums moderators can all go to hell. lol.
  • BF1 multiplayer is boring. I played it for 6 months and could never get into it. The single player campaign is really good though.
  • Can't wait for it!
  • Plays very well. Extremely impressed with it :)
