Entry-level Surface Pro 4 drops to just $699 at Microsoft

Microsoft is making it easier to get your hands on a Surface Pro 4 with a $100 discount on its entry-level model. Right now you can pick up the Intel Core m3 Surface Pro 4 for $699 (opens in new tab) directly from the Microsoft Store. On top of that, Microsoft is also throwing in a $25 gift code to spend on apps and games on the Windows Store.

For your money, you'll pick up the Core m3-powered model with 128GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. The one big downside with this particular model is that it doesn't come with a Surface Pen, which is one of the big draws of the Surface line. To start inking, you'll have to shell out an extra $60 for a Surface Pen separately (opens in new tab).

All said, that's not a bad deal at all if you're looking for a relatively cheap way to jump into the Surface ecosystem. If you need a little more power, there are ongoing deals on the Core i5 and Core i7 models as well, with each dropping $200 off of their base price.

  • Looking forward to the Pro5
  • Ms Five is nigh ! 🙂
  • ❤ my surface pro 4 😊
  • I love my SP4 m3. Only disappointment I have is battery life. It's perfect for me other than that.
  • How bad is it? My sp1 has like 3 hrs battery life. It sucks. But I was imagining later iterations would fare much better!
  • I'd say its about on par with that depending on what you are doing.
  • SSD on it is pretty slow as well. Regardless it has served my needs well.
  • M3, I'm annoyed with 4GB of ram. Always bogging down when browsing on Edge. So so annoying. M3 with 8GB would be prime.
  • My surface pro 4 is a beast. Probably won't upgrade for two more years or so.
  • When will MS have their HW launch? Looking forward to SP5. Just broke my SP4
  • Got mine for $599 new from BB a month ago.
  • Maybe if it was $299.
