Forza Motorsport 6: Apex for Windows 10 update will ditch beta label and add wheel support

Microsoft plans to roll out an update to its free-to-play racing sim game Forza Motorsport 6: Apex for Windows 10 later today. The update will ditch the game's current beta tag and will add support for a number of wheel controllers.
Xbox Wire (opens in new tab) has a list of the currently supported wheel controllers for the game:
- Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
- G25 Racing Wheel
- Logitech G29 Racing Wheel
- Logitech MOMO Force Feedback Racing Wheel
- Thrustmaster T300RS
- Thrustmaster T500 RS Gaming Wheel
- Logitech G920 Xbox One Wheel
- Thrustmaster T150
- Thrustmaster TX Xbox One Wheel
- Thrustmaster TMX Xbox One Wheel
- Thrustmaster RGT Force Feedback Racing Wheel
Microsoft added that support for Fanatec wheel controllers such as the ClubSport V2 Xbox One Hub and the Fanatec CSR models will be added to the game later this month.
In addition, H-pattern shifters are fully supported in Apex for all Logitech wheels listed above, except for the G29, which will be added at a later date. We will be adding additional support for H-pattern shifters from other manufacturers in the future.
Microsoft says that more improvements to Forza Motorsport 6: Apex are planned but specifics were not revealed.

Hopefully the specs needed get relaxed a bit. Surface Book with dGPU struggles. I mean, I prefer my Xbox for gaming, but would be nice to play around a bit and get some achievements. So, whatev....

All good, friend.

I just want to try it on my PC. I can buy any dx12 game from Store but Forza is unable to install for me because directx feature level 11 required... BUT I HAVE 11 FEATURE LEVEL IN DXDIAG!

Even though it's not on the list, the Xbox 360 wheel works with the game.

I so badly wish they would've made something for Windows Mobile

Couple of years ago I was like if they made Halo on mobile why not Forza Mobile but too many mobile racers nowadays. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android (LG V10 or Nexus 5x)

Sweet... I downloaded this game a good while ago. But never played it because back then I had a really crappy keyboard. ( gave my mech to the lady cause it matched her hackintosh I built for her.) and there wasn't wheel support. Now I think ima be all over this!

Forza 6 is so good. Finally a sim racer that actually simulates aquaplaning correctly. And 3d puddles. Wet weather done right.
