The Game Developers Conference (GDC) takes place every year and is regarded as one of the most important for game developers. This year though, many feared that it would be canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak in China. The illness has killed over 1,000 people and that number continues to rise as more people succumb to it in China and elsewhere around the globe.

Daniel Ahmad, an analyst with Niko Partners, spotted a post on the conference's website which confirmed plans. You can take a look at the summary from Ahmad below. He highlights the important parts of the announcement.

The GDC organizers recommend taking precautions against coronavirus by washing hands and practicing other sanitary protocols. Hopefully, it'll go smoothly this year despite the public health crisis that continues to worsen by the day.
