Gaming chairs vs. office chairs: Which seat should a gamer buy?

Best answer: Gaming chairs are definitively the better option for gamers since they have all the benefits that office chairs do, as well as bonus features.Secretlab gaming chair: Secretlab Titan (From $400 at Secretlab)RESPAWN alternative: RESPAWN-205 ($175 at Amazon)

What makes gaming chairs better for gamers?

Ultimately, the reason why gaming chairs are better for people who play video games is because they're better than office chairs in almost every way. Both gaming chairs and office chairs are designed for long hours at a desk, but gaming chairs have more options when it comes to adjustability. This is specifically important for people who play games because finding a position that allows you to comfortably, quickly, and precisely control your in-game character for long periods of time is crucial, especially in multiplayer titles like Counter-Strike. Office chairs just aren't as adjustable since normal typing activities don't require this level of responsiveness from the person at the desk.

Another reason that gaming chairs are better is that they feature more cushioning, which in turn makes them more comfortable. The only thing office chairs have going for them is that they're less costly, but if you're a gamer, then the extra money is worth it for a better and more comfortable gaming experience.

What makes the Secretlab Titan stand out?

When it comes to the best of the best, the Secretlab Titan is unquestionably the best PC gaming chair out there. From our review:

Through and through, the Titan Stealth chair is a heavenly seating experience that is truly hard to fault. The armrests are coated with a soft layer of PU leather and foam, adding additional comfort on top of their 4-dimensions worth of adjustability. The wheels have great action even under heavy load, and the thick aluminum base is reinforced with additional gussets for maximum durability.

The Titan chair combines maximum comfort with tons of adjustability and a super durable frame, making it the clear king of the hill among its peers in the market. It's pricey at $400, but it's worth every cent. This is a chance that every PC gamer shouldn't miss out on.

If you don't want to spend that much, the RESPAWN-205 is another excellent option. While it doesn't have all the features the Titan has, it's still a fantastic gaming chair in its own right. For other gaming chairs to look at, check out our list.
