Go hands-on with Xbox One X at select Microsoft retail stores

If you're looking for a way to check out Xbox One X ahead of launch, Microsoft will hook you up at a select few of its retail stores. In a post on Xbox Wire, Microsoft says you can check out the console, just under a month ahead of its release, at flagship Microsoft Stores in New York and Sydney as well as Microsoft Store at Bellevue Square Mall and Microsoft Store at University Village.

In terms of what you'll see, Microsoft says you can check out Forza Motorsport 7, which is serving as a flagship Xbox One X enhanced title, running at 4K and 60 frames per second. There will also be prizes, "special appearances, and other surprises, Microsoft says.

The list of stores with demos available is fairly limited right now, to be sure. But Microsoft says you can expect more locations to be included in the coming weeks. Eventually, all Microsoft Store locations will have playable Xbox One X demos available prior to launch.

Xbox One X is set to launch on November 7. Preorders for the beefed up console are currently sold out at most retailers, but you can still place one for $499 at Microsoft.
