The gorgeous Alto's Adventure hits the slopes on Windows 10 for PC

Alto's Adventure, a popular endless snowboarding mobile game originally launched in early 2015, is now available as an Xbox Live game for Windows 10. More than an endless snowboarder, Alto's Adventure sports a gorgeous aesthetic that enhances the constantly shifting background as you work your way through the game.

Here's a small sampling of what you can expect from Alto's Adventure:

  • Fluid, graceful and exhilarating physics-based gameplay
  • Procedurally generated terrain based on real-world snowboarding
  • Fully dynamic lighting and weather effects, including thunderstorms, blizzards, fog, rainbows, shooting stars, and more
  • Easy to learn, difficult to master one button trick system
  • Chain together combos to maximize points and speed
  • Test your skills with 180 handcrafted goals

Along the way, you'll be able to check out six different snowboarders with individual special skills. You can also challenge and compete against friends for things like the highest score and best trick combos.

  • It says mobile game. But not available on phones. Right?
  • Only united states region? Shame... I've liked the trailer
  • Or. Change your region to us, Install, change it back to whatever. Why do you people make this such a big deal
  • no, its available here in India too for pc.
  • Only US gets it on mobile?
  • It's not a mobile game. We said 'Windows 10'.
  • But the original is a mobile game?
  • This is an iOS port, right? So if UWP is as easy for developers as they say, then why isn't this game on Windows 10 Mobile too?
  • What makes you think it's a port? The original iOS developer, Snowman, didn't make this Windows version.
  • It's extremely unlikely that the entire game and all of its assets were completley built from scratch for Windows 10. It's a port and it runs on mobile devices iOS and Android, meaning it can run on Windows 10 Mobile too. The point is that we've been told for years that UWP is easy for developers--almost like 'checking a box' to put it on Windows 10 Mobile devices too. But here is a game that clearly works on mobile devices but is only for Windows 10 PC devices and not Windows 10 Mobile devices. It's a bit worrisome for the future of Windows phones, really.
  • Change your region to US and you will be able to download http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/3815-region-language-settings-copy-wi...
  • Not on mobile, only pc? :'(
  • Runs smoothly on integrated graphics.  This is simple enough to run fine on any mobile.
  • I've been waiting for this moment for so long. I feel giddy.
  • I am not clear. Is it but available on mobile yet. Or it is but you need to change the region to US?
  • It is not avail. For mobile!
  • Isn't at all. Supported OS: Windows 10 (not Mobile)
Supported CPUs: x86, x64 (not ARM)
  • They updated it today. Last night it said Windows 10 Mobile as well. And it had another reference to it...such as "enjoy the skiing adventure on Windows 10 and your mobile devices". Something along those lines.  I sent them an email asking about it. Maybe it was a mistake, or it wasn't ready on mobile yet.  On the Windows 10 store page for the game, you can still switch back and forth between Mobile and PC versions of the screenshots. I think it does exist. Just hang in there everyone
  • Nice. I love this game on my Android phone.
  • The Android version is a free game, while the iOS version is paid. On Android, you have to collect coins and look at ads, so they were obviously concerned about piracy. I don't blame them, Android is a large enough platform that ads can still make them a lot of money, but for people like me who would rather pay up front for their games, the Android version is terrible.
  • I could care less about iOS. Its still a fun game, plus zen mode is awesome.
  • installed <3
  • Android and iOS phones have it, but Windows 10 Mobile doesn't. Why?
  • 1. Windows phone is a small platform. 2. Maybe they'll make it available later, you never know.
  • It made my day untill i read available only on pc!
  • Xbox
  • C'mon Mobile. Really beautifully little game.
  • I think it will be available on windows 10 mobile like Avengers alliance 2
