Hands-on with Windows 10 build 17686 showcasing new changes and improvements

We're back with another quick look at a new Windows 10 Insider Preview build. This time, we're taking a look at Windows 10 build 17686, which features a few notable new changes and improvements over previous builds and indeed our last build video.

Build 17686 isn't as huge of a build as 17666 was, meaning there isn't too much new worthy of note. There are, however, some changes that are worth mentioning, including the improved dark mode in File Explorer, regional settings improvements, and more.

We also take a quick look at some of the changes introduced in a couple of previous builds that we didn't do videos on, including features like updated Microsoft Edge menus, and more. So sit back and enjoy our quick walkthrough of build 17686!

Make sure you check out our previous build videos at the Windows 10 Build Videos hub!

  • Hove more "features" that everyone asked for. We have even put our QA team to code useful features such as new fonts in regedit. Next release will be a bigger blast than 1803. Can't wait.

  • Not too impressed with sets. Not sure I would use that in my day-to-day office. I still have interactions with companies that REQUIRE internet explorer AND Chrome to operate/access sites.
  • Hands-on with Windows 10 we can go to bongdalu to watch the World Cup
