I fell in love with ASUS' most attractive gaming laptop from the first moment I used it, and the Zephyrus G14 has continued to be my top recommendation for those seeking mobile power and useful features in a refined chassis.
The ROG Zephyrus G14 has never been considered affordable, though, even this entry-level configuration with an AMD Ryzen 9 270 CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 (8GB) GPU, 16GB of memory, 1TB of SSD storage, and a wonderful 1800p, 120Hz OLED display.
Black Friday season has arrived, though, and my favorite gaming laptop is enjoying a hefty price cut, knocking it down to just $1,299.99 at BestBuy.com. $500 in savings is nothing to laugh at, and you're getting a high-end laptop with incredible speakers, a great port selection, an awesome RGB-lit keyboard, a top-notch screen, and reliable performance for all the latest and greatest PC and Xbox games.
If this laptop has a weakness, is the same as all gaming laptops — battery life. Unlike many others in the category, though, it's actually quite easy to get all-day battery life from the Zephyrus G14 by toning down performance or disabling some features. Considering this laptop is also a lot sleeker than many other gaming PCs, that's a big boon.
I heavily praised the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025) in my 4.5/5-star review, but this isn't the exact configuration I tested. For those that demand even more performance, the thicker, heavier, and absurdly more powerful ROG Zephyrus G14 model is also on sale for $1,999.99 at BestBuy.com, which is $400 off. That discount isn't as enticing, but it's still an attractive price on a true flagship 14-inch gaming laptop.
