The mini PC market is hot these days, and it seems like most of the big (and small) brands are buffing their lineups with new options. Dell isn't to be excluded, and it has just announced a new and compact Dell Pro 5 Micro PC.
The Dell Pro 5 Micro (P5M1260) is expected to launch on March 31, 2026. Pricing has yet to be announced.
This is Dell's first "mainstream" desktop, mini or not, to include Windows 11 Copilot+ capabilities, and it's all thanks to the use of Intel's Core Ultra vPro Series 3 processors. It's available with the Core Ultra 7 366H vPro or the Core Ultra 5 335 vPro.
Article continues belowThese Intel "Panther Lake" mobile chips, besides offering improved efficiency and performance (especially for the integrated graphics), come with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of hitting 50 TOPS for AI tasks. That's more than enough for the built-in Copilot+ tools in Windows 11.
Whereas many mini PCs focus on the consumer market by offering a low-cost entry to Windows, Dell's Pro 5 Micro delivers the security and management features that professionals require. I'm talking primarily about Dell's advanced security features like SafeSupply Chain, SafeBIOS, and SafeID, as well as scalable management for IT teams.
How does Dell's new Pro 5 Micro mini PC power five external displays?
What I find more interesting is the design of the PC. It starts at just 2.42 pounds (1.10kg), and its 1.2L chassis can be mounted practically anywhere if you're not using it vertically or horizontally on your desk.
A wide range of ports makes it easy to connect all your peripherals, but Dell goes one step further with an open, modular slot on the back of the PC. At checkout, you can choose one of nine options to fill it with.
Go for the dual DisplayPort 1.4 module, and you'll have a mini PC capable of powering five external monitors with a mix of 5K and 4K resolutions.
Don't need that many external monitors? Add more USB-A or USB-C ports, or legacy ports like PS/2, VGA, or Serial, should you require them.

Getting inside the Dell Pro 5 Micro doesn't require any tools, and once inside, you can access the M.2 slots for the SSD and the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combo card. The use of DDR5 RAM suggests that the memory can also be upgraded after purchase.
Dell offers Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 6E wireless options, and from the factory, you can configure up to 64GB of DDR5-6400MT/s RAM. Storage ranges from 256GB to 1TB with SED capabilities.
As for power, the PC can run off a 90W barrel adapter or a 100W USB-C adapter (or a connection from a monitor capable of delivering that much power via USB-C).
What do you think about Dell's new business-focused mini PC with Copilot+?
Mini PCs keep getting better, and I love to see Dell keeping up with its first Pro Copilot+ desktop.
For me, the standout feature is either the customizable port module that unlocks support for five external displays or the Copilot+ capabilities, but I want to know what you think.
Is this something you'd consider buying as your next business partner? Will it depend on the price when it launches? Let me know in the comments section!
