"Filling demand where standard hard drives simply don't cut it": Seagate's Xbox Storage Expansion Card is discounted in all sizes
Amazon has given Seagate's Xbox expansion discounts for its 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB models for a limited time.
We can always use more install space for our Xbox Series X|S, but using external SSDs is a pain because you can't play games directly from them, so you have to constantly transfer them back and forth between the Xbox's internal SSD if you want to play something.
Seagate's Storage Expansion Cards, however, bypass that limitation by allowing games to be played directly inside them while offering large quantities of install space for pricy MSRPs.
Fortunately, Amazon's Gaming Week sale has reduced this card's prices to more affordable levels for a short time. Meaning that the 1TB model is now $185.99 at Amazon (was $230.57), the 2TB model is now $274.99 at Amazon (was $349.99), and the 4TB model is now $549.99 at Amazon (was $659.99).
"Seagate's Storage Expansion Card is the best way to add more space to the latest Xbox consoles, while avoiding the annoying limitations of USB drives. While it's an expensive investment that might be hard to justify, those who drop the cash won't be disappointed with the returns." — Matt Brown, former Senior Editor
Windows Central review:⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is the 2TB variant of Seagate's Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S, complete with Plug & Play and Quick Resume compatibility.
This is the 4TB variant of Seagate's Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S, and it's the largest SSD you can buy for your Xbox.
Why buy the Seagate Expansion Card for Xbox (and now PC)?
The Seagate Storage Expansion cards for Xbox come in 1TB, 2TB, and even 4TB sizes. This is a major boon in addressing the Xbox Series X|S's limited storage issues when installing newer AAA games that take up hundreds of gigabytes, like the 161GB-sized Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 (and that's just the base game without DLC).
But that's not all this SSD card has going for it. It has a compact design that seamlessly integrates with the Xbox console without standing out, to prevent it from accidentally being knocked off.
Its Plug & Play design makes it easy to install without any wires, and it can allow games installed within the card to be played directly instead of needing to install them onto the Xbox's internal SSD.
What's more is that the Seagate Storage Expansion Card's performance speeds match that of the Xbox's systems, as it uses the Xbox Velocity Architecture. This means that playing games directly from the card won't negatively affect their performance, so you don't have to worry about issues like input delay or longer load times.
On top of that, it's compatible with the Xbox's Quick Resume feature. This allows players to pause their game when they power down the console and return to the dashboard, and continue from the exact place they left off once they return to the game.
So, if you don't want to deal with cable and file management while adding more space to your Xbox, you can't go wrong with the Seagate Storage Expansion cards. They're one of the most reliable Xbox SSDs on the market, and they're now affordable thanks to Amazon's discount for $185.99 at Amazon (1TB Model), $274.99 at Amazon (2TB Model), and $549.99 at Amazon (4TB Model).
