Hitman GO coming to Oculus Rift this week

The boardgame-style assassination game Hitman GO will soon be available to play in VR. Starting Thursday, May 12, owners of the Oculus Rift will be able to download and play the game from those devices' respective stores with 91 levels of assassination challenges, according to The Verge.

While most games with Hitman name are third-person action or stealth-action titles for PCs and game consoles, GO takes a different path. Over the course of levels straight out of other parts of the series, GO tasks you with turn-based assassination missions from a bird's-eye view.

The Oculus Rift version of Hitman GO will be available for $9.99.

  • I bought this game on mobile but still haven't played it. Have to give it a go sometime. I'm still not finished Tomb Raider Go.
  • I thought this game would be awesome on the HoloLens Placing this game on a table and walking around it would be so cool.
  • I was expecting HoloLens as it is, by far, the perfect candidate for this game.
But still, they are embracing the devices. Bright move.
  • Should I cancel my HTC Vive order?
  • Heck no. I love my Vive. The room scale aspect is a must with VR.
  • Depends on if you want a VR headset AND an AR headset. If you want just one, then buy just one...obviously.
  • They should make something like 'Surface Lens' for vr department that connect with phone, tablet, laptop, desktop and Surface hub...
