How do you make coins fast in Apex Legends?

Need more Legend Tokens or crafting materials in Apex Legends? You're not alone. There are so many items to get in the game. They're all cosmetic, and you don't need them to compete, of course, but who doesn't like playing virtual dress up? Plus, Legend Tokens can be used to unlock in-game characters.

How to get more Apex Coins, Legend Tokens, and Crafting Materials fast

So, obviously you want as much coin as you can get, and you want it as soon as you can get it. How do you do that? The simple answer is to just play the game to the best of your ability because there's nothing more or less efficient you can do to earn currency in Apex Legends.

For instance, Legend Coins are granted each time you level up, and crafting materials can only be found in Apex Packs, which are also granted upon leveling up. To level up, you need lots of XP, and to get more XP, you just have to kill more and survive longer in each of your Apex Legends games.

Kill more people, revive more teammates, use more abilities, and try to go as far as you can. There's no get rich quick scheme there. Here is the list of actions and accolades that go toward your XP gain:

  • Winning a game: 500 XP
  • Getting a Top 3 finish: 300 XP
  • Kills: 50 XP
  • Damage Done: Divide total damage by four (e.g., 1356 damage = 339 XP)
  • Revives: 25 XP
  • Respawns: 25 XP
  • Survival Time: ~200 XP per level
  • Kill the Champion: 500 XP
  • Kill the Kill Leader: 50 XP
  • Play with Friends: 5% Survival Time XP bonus

Do note that many of these actions can happen multiple times in a game, such as killing the kill leader or champion, as well as kills, revives and respawns. It all stacks and gets added to the grand total at the end. If you need some help stepping your game up then our Apex Legends guide should get you up to speed.

Those who are interested in crafting materials can accelerate their accruement of the stuff by buying Apex Packs with the premium currency, Apex Coins. We wouldn't recommend this route as Apex Packs do not guarantee crafting materials, and the amounts you can get vary wildly.

Will there be other cash-making methods in the future?

Respawn has not yet detailed plans for adding more ways to earn in Apex Legends. The company is planning a battle pass that will likely give out in-game currency as periodic rewards, and we could see currency rewards attached to some sort of battle pass challenges, too.

But don't expect the world here. Apex Legends is a free-to-play game, so Respawn will always need a way to entice you to spend money. Companies typically limit how much currency you can earn over the life of the game for this very reason, so curb those expectations if you were hoping to dive into a pool of gold Scrooge McDuck style without putting in the work.
