  • Guys... hold your comments on this. This has to end!!
  • Helping people on the internet will never end. If you're too snobbish to accept there are people out there who appreciate a guide like this, then fine. Also please remember no-one forces you to click on a post and comment.
  • But how dumb you have to be to need a tutorial for this? Even a cat can send videos over WhatsApp.
  • My cat prefers Viber ;O)
  • Exactly... My 2.5 years old nephew unlocks my phone and sends voice messages to anyone i ask him to... This whatsapp guide is getting ridiculous
  • All I want to know is: Is this intended as a sponsored ad article? If so, it should be identified as such. How to articles are fine, btw, when written by staff and pertaining to the site's 'core' focus. Writing individual feature ad articles about apps is insane and only demonstrates an interest in ads not content and readers. It is arrogant of MN/WC/YOU to think your readers are this dumb that they don't see this as content search optimization rather than benefit for them.
  • Puh-lease... This is a useless article and you know it. It's fodder for clicks. I'm betting most of you at WC are even happy to get all this heat, thanks to all the money you're making with ads showing up to commenters. I'd understand if we were talking about a totally unintelligible app or a less known one? But Whattsapp? Come on... What's next? You're gonna teach us how to use Instagram? Facebook? Twitter? Maybe Snapchat, to add insult to injury due to it not existing for W10?... I said it before and I'll say it again: I'm really saddened to see Windows Central resorting to these tactics. More so after seeing you defending them with that excuse.
  • I agree Richard. Thank you for that.
  • Why just WhatsApp then? And why all of a sudden. I don't remember seeing any content like this on Skype or GroupMe. WhatsApp is both a fairly simple and quite popular app in most countries. If its just helping out people why not start writing articles on "How to use Reddit", or "Who and how should use one use LinkdIn?" Those two are clearly much more complicated than WhatsApp and have a fair amount of users. Or do these stuff in a new "how to" section in the forums? And drop a link on it in the article that reviews the app?
  • If this is supposed to be a training article I think it's good(Still I don't know why publish it publically). But otherwise this is kinda irritating to regular readers who expect some articles that reflects the quality of the site. You can't blame the readers for making stupid comments if you post stupid articles. At least explain to us why such articles all of a sudden. WhatsApp wasn't released recently.
  • Why not do this with Skype so more people use it instead whatsapp
  • Because skype is 100 times worse. Soon WhatsApp will get video and Skype will die rapidly. Microsoft let skype became a huge fuckup. And it still is. The new app is garbage. You can't even remove a contact or a conversation. I am starting to believe that 90% of the skype developers are actually chickens.
  • They are getting mad. They will start teaching android too so evreyone can switch platform.
  • Skype will be discontinued for 90% of Windows phones users come October.
  • Read all the articles about WhatsApp, now I'm eligible for Windows Central WhatsApp Professional Certification.
  • Thanks . That's help a lot of WhatsApp user .
    Well done with this article.
  • Whats next? how to boil an egg?
  • woooaaaahhh, not so fast.  First there'll be an article on how to boil water.  Followed up by how to take an egg out the box.  THEN, they can publish the boiling an egg howto.
  • No! First their will be "how chickens have sex"
  • Is "sex" the appropriate word to use when it comes to chickens ? Lol
  • Jesus, fine! How chickens "make love". Better? So much restrictions with the language these days..
  • I think that it would be how to boil water without burn it.
  • But how does the water get in the pan?
  • Or how to make tea?
  • Now now to make proper tea is not such a simple subject.
  • You're just missing the disclaimer: "This sponsored article was brought to you by the team at WhatsApp.  Please contact WhatsApp for any support or comment, the opinions expressed in the article are those of the sponsor and not the Windows Central team.  The Windows Central team is posting this article for the purpose of generating advertising and revenue through sponsored articles."

  • This has to be one of two things.
Either its sponsored content or its training wheels for your new writers.
    Which is it?
  • The author has written 12 articles. Of which 9 are about how to whatsapp. So, I guess he's fairly new.. If so, no probs Drew. You go do your thing. But maybe try something different next time tho. Good luck!
  • Yup, sure looks like it. If so, best of luck to him and the editorial team should make it clear.

  • Hey smart guys, do all the people you know and love know how to use this app? Or are they over their heads with a processing device they got when they just wanted a flip phone. So when someone takes the time to teach them a little something in terms that THEY can understand, take the gift. The world isn't all about you.
  • What the world has come up to...People don't know the basic thing...or Windows Central is exaggerating it because they don't have new said stuff to post...Why are you posting too many WhatsApp basic things lately?
