HyperX CloudX Pro Gaming Headset announced for Xbox One

HyperX, the gaming accessories division of Kingston Technology, has revealed plans to sell the CloudX Pro Gaming Headset for the Xbox One. This is HyperX's first product for the console gaming market.

HyperX says:

"Based on the award-winning HyperX Cloud II design, HyperX CloudX brings a new level of audio performance to console gamers. It delivers every gunshot, explosion and dialogue in crystal-clear sound via large 53mm drivers. HyperX CloudX has convenient in-line volume controls and uses memory foam ear cushions as well as a soft leather-padded headband with custom stitching for enhanced comfort and style. The over-the-ear, closed-cup design helps block out ambient noise for a more immersive game experience. HyperX CloudX also features a detachable microphone and comes with a hard shell carrying case to protect the headset when traveling or not in use."

The headset will go on sale in the second quarter of 2016 but a price has yet to be revealed.

  • I've been using the regular HyperX Cloud for about a year on my PC and Xbox One. It sounds great and is very comfortable. Good build quality too. I'd definitely recommend it.
  • If it has to be plugged in for chat then it's not for me.
  • So you want wireless...
  • Yes, I currently have the TB 500x but I am always looking for the latest and greatest. Right now the 500x are the best available.
  • Same here. I can't find a good headset that is fully wireless
  • If you really want to... Connect wireless headset to PC, then stream Xbox to PC at whatever quality. Controller can still br connected to Xbox and you can still look at the TV . The latency is small enough I can't tell the difference.
  • What's wrong with the Turtle Beach 500X or 800X's
  • Agree. Turtle Beach 500x stealth is a great "fully wireless" headset. I've heard bad things about he Mic on the 800x. I replaced my Steel Series H Wireless set on my Xbox as the 500x is totally wireless. Very pleased with it.
  • I bought the 800x and theres a constant static sound if its quiet and the mic isn't very good. And I have yet to try the 500x but for the price they could've updated the look of the headset. In my opinion :)
  • I use a bluetooth(modded) adaptor on my X1 controller so I use a turtle beach XP 400.
  • I use the exact same thing. Very cool but people always complain of the mic quality so ive been looking for something that is fully wireless of good quality. Maybe Microsoft will make an elite headset eh eh eh?
  • Im using Cloud II, very good. Deco recommend it to anyone.
