Xbox One S leaks ahead of E3 and it looks awesome! [Update: May be priced at $299]
The Xbox One slim is real. And here it is.

Microsoft's E3 2016 media briefing isn't due to start until tomorrow, but that hasn't stopped more information on their upcoming announcement surfacing online ahead of the conference.
NeoGAF user KawabataSan has posted an image of what appears to show a slimmer Xbox One on a Microsoft web page, one day ahead of the Xbox E3 media briefing. According to the leaked image, the 'Xbox One S' is 40% smaller than the standard Xbox One console, features a 2TB internal hard drive and streamlined controller. Unlike the original console, the Xbox One S is also able to stand vertically. The console is also able to output videos at 4K resolution.
No further details were provided alongside the image, but we should expect more information over the next 24 hours. If like many other supposed E3 announcements this year, we'll update this post with any following leaks.
Update: Another image of the Xbox One S has appeared online, this time showing the console standing vertically

Update 2: An online group called 'NerdLeaks', known for a number of credible leaks, claims the Xbox One S will retail for $299 in the United States.

D'oh!
-
Why is this a bad thing? It always happens to consoles. I think the PS4.5 Neo is more annoying as it affects how games run and look (Which goes against the ethos of consoles to me) but this looks like it will output 4K for video but not have an affect on games.
-
Greedy Sony, with the PS4 Neo, has forever ruined console gaming.
-
How?
-
By creating a two tiered system where not only do developers have to work harder, but by turning the hardware into a moving target mainly in order to generate extra profits by the implied forced upgrading every cycle or you won't be able to have the optimal experience.
-
Whatever happened to Microsoft's cloud? I thought they said something about using the power of the cloud for better game processing or whatnot.
-
Microsoft was Microsoft and overpromised a bunch of stuff that never happened.
-
Microsoft over delivered with XBOX one but stupid gamers killed Xbox one dream and now complaining that Microsoft under delivered. Ha
-
Indeed for game saves and for use of developers on the back end stuff we won't see
-
It takes 3 years to make a AAA game title. 2013 meet 2016. Crackdown 3 will come out this year and be the first true cloud game.
-
Its as useful as Nintendo's WiiConnect24/SpotPass rarely any developer besides mgs use it
-
Sounds great. Long console generations stifled games long enough. Glad Sony had the sense to correct it.
-
Agreed. The last console generation has lasted for far to long, its time to shorten them.
-
Has there been an official announcement of any of that? And would the Xbox One 'Scorpio' be any different? I use an Xbox One so I'm firmly in Microsoft's camp, I just don't like people jumping to conclusions about unannounced systems.
-
Spoken like a true console gamer that knows nothing of microprocessor or graphical architecture.
-
As a consumer you can always buy the older version. If you wanted to have top graphics you wouldn't buy a console in the first place since when a console comes out it does barely what a PC can do. With console you are always 1 year behind (if you buy it day one) to seven years behind (console life). With sony you can be 1to3 years behind or keep being 1to7 years behind, what's bad about that? Or just buy a 800€ PC every around 6 years (like I do) and spend 300 every two years to have the latest graphics card and max out games.
-
It's down to personal preference but I think I'd switch to buying a GTX 1070/1080 level card as it would see out numerous iterations of a £400 console - Obviously you would be playing PC games and not Xbox but it does seem like the Xbox App on PC will keep getting better, and we can start to share clips from Steam games too. I do love my Xbox One, but I don't think £400 every 2 years would be that great of an idea for a slight graphics bump compared to a £400 GPU every 3-4 years. At the moment I game on both PC and Xbox One but don't invest in the top end GPU as most gaming is on Xbox One for me in the living room
-
I was just saying that you either want simple consoles or latest graphics, you cant have both :) so who cares about ps 4.5!
-
This isn't accurate at all. Sony (and Microsoft) are making the playing field similar to PC. You can run a game at lower resolution or at higher resolution. PC Games have worked like this since forever. Where it will hopefully be better than PC gaming is that we'll see baselines. Something like 900p at 60fps is minimum, and maximum is what you can squeeze out of the hardware. Optimal experience is also a difficult thing to nail down. If a game runs at a great frame rate consistently, but is at 900p vs. 4k, yes, the 4k might be the best experience, but with it comes also owning additional things like a 4k tv. Ultimately, this is great. We won't see console "generations" much anymore. No more xbox->360->One. No more ps2->3->4. No more worrying about backwards compatibility.
-
So, in other words they haven't ruined console gaming. People are just insecure.
-
No, greedy Microsoft and Sony have created the need for updated consoles by releasing such underpowered machines in the first place.
-
Fairly priced
-
Where are games the last of us, the gaurdian etc are they coming to Xbox or not.
-
Sleek. Only for people who don't have the original though.
-
Tell me about it, I have 4 XB1's. I hope they have a trade-in option. Posted via Windows Central app for Windows 10!
Proudly rocking my Lumia 1520! -
Some type of trade in would be cool. But why do you have 4 XB1's? Lol.
Admittedly i'm kinda jealous. -
what a 299 price, who wouldnt get 4 xbox ones? But he could have waited. LOL.
-
Multiple rooms? I have 4 kids and have three of them I would have 5 but not enough tvs right now.
-
Exchange 1 child for an additional TV, equilibrium restored.
-
+1
-
Spoiled kids of you ask me. Sent from an alien space ship with a Lumia 950
-
I remember when four people would play goldeneye crowded around one 28 inch TV... An Xbox each seems ridiculous. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
Hey, to each their own. Maybe the kids did chores and worked and saved up to buy their own Xbox? S/He never said s/he bought each one. Plus, a ton of games these days don't support local multiplayer, so if the kids wanted to play the games together they'd *have* to have an Xbox each. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
Other people can spend their money however the hell they want, it still seems ridiculous. Also, chores? There aren't enough chores in a single household for four kids to each earn the cash for an xbone lol. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
Send your kids here, I've plenty to keep hordes busy! Damn gardens!
-
You're spot on, however, I did pay for three of the four because 2 belong to me and I purchased one for my youngest son. My older so purchased his own. And you're spot on when it comes to games that don't support multiplayer. My sons also have different groups of friends and also play games the other doesn't.
-
Cheaper in my mind that what my sister and my friends spend on their kiddos. I go the x1's for 299 i think it was and their phones for 130. Total was under 500. Others alone spend 500 on new phones for their kids. And they do chores. They get 20 a weak sometimes if everything is done to a T. As well they help at grandmas a ton so they earn 10 here and there. While they didnt buy it fully with their own cash no, they saved and worked hard. I didnt buy them day one at 500 each.
-
I have 3. One in Family Room
One in Master Bedroom
One in my Office Will probably get a 4th at some point for the loft. Basically one wherever we have a TV. For us we use it for Blu-ray, Netflix, Hulu, Groove Music. Only my office one sees any limited gaming. We like the Xbox One interface and is nice to just have the cable box plugged into it so you don't have to switch inputs for whatever you're doing. Everything just always is on and works. -
I'm working on a similar setup. I sold my wife on the second Xbox for the mere fact that we could turn on the Xbox, TV, and sound system with only our voice. My office Xbox is for me to hide and play games.
-
For a second there I thought you said you sold your wife for a Xbox lol. I do kinda wish I would have gotten the Kinect so that I could control my Xbox with my voice.
-
If he was smart....
-
I currently have two and will probably pick this up. No need for any more outside of 3 with the streaming. But my kids are all A students and they participate in sports and do chores. I cut cable and we use these along with firesticks as gateways to the digital media. I also have timers on internet usage on my kids for certain items. I work to deliver to them the opportunities my parents couldn't afford to give me as well as I work with them on life lessons (credit, balancing check book, etc.) I don't see a problem if you can afford it to assist kids in their wants.
-
We have three, now will get a fourth. Currently in family room, master bedroom, and office/man cave/theater room.
-
One in the living room on my 65", one in my bedroom 42" (if the wife want to watch TV up front, I can still play in our bedroom), and each of my two sons have their own Xbox one's in the rooms.
-
Haha I have three, first world problems! Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
I love my white Sunset Overdrive One and Halo One consoles too much. I can sit out the slim. Come on down, Scorpio!
-
The original doesn't do 4K or HDR, so anyone that absolutely wants those features will need to buy one of these.
-
I want to build an Entertainment center with a game console I have never owned one and this device sems made to order for me. This seems like a nice first timer game console device. the big Question fs how much will it cost ?
-
Interested in the pricing
-
Ok, were is my glass of water. An "accident" about to happen to my X1. 40% smaller, god dammit ms had ALOT of wasted space in the og console.
-
had to make room for the giant fan somehow.
-
Lol, I was hoping for a modular solution as its x86 and all
-
Its that giant fan thaty stopped it sounding and getting as hot as Sony's playstation 4 hairdryer.
-
Believe me, every bit of space that is in there was in there for a reason. Keep in mind that the Xbox One is from 2013, likely based on technology that's even older. It's the same story with every other console too. The specs don't/can't change, but how efficient the components are can, and newer technology is more efficient.. The more efficient, the less power, the less power, the less heat, the less heat, the less space to keep it cool.
-
Wasn't there a tear down that revealed a massive section of empty space as if something was taken out or for something to put in? Either way the S looks oh so nice.
-
Or maybe for plenty of air circulation to keep it cool? Just cause there's lots of space doesn't mean something was taken out Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
Wasn't the size of the original Xbox One this big so it would fit with A/V stacks?
-
No. The original Xbox was so big to ensure it could injure a toddler if it fell on it. It said so in the user manual.
-
can't really blame them. they weren't taking chances with heat distribution after the 360. now that they're confident the chipset can run in a more confined space, they can shrink the case.
-
This^^^ Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
Well, considering the original XB1 was using pretty much the same chip as the PS4 (which is significantly smaller), not sure MS gets a pass here.
-
When under intensive gaming loads for a long duration the ps4 gets pretty loud.
-
The extra space kept it from over heating, which they learned about from the Xbox 360.
-
Why is it automatically waste? It's been a few years, tech shrinks and needs less space.
-
Its waste if the ps4 is so much smaller. Anyway I still feel the x1(and ps4) are unfinished rushed consoles as evidence by both Sony and MS looking to change the history of console lifecycle by releasing new hardware so early imho.
-
Another perspective, perhaps they are just responding to 4K being more generally available quicker than expected and want their devices to compete with other media consumption boxes.
-
Agreed :) for example the Xbox 360 didn't even come with hdmi, and a new model had to come out support that, oh and WiFi. A lot can change in a consoles life cycle. I very much expected a hdmi 2 variant, and I expect to see usb 3.1 at some point... And maybe that external graphics card idea that's just come in for laptops to become part of the new Xbox somehow...
-
It's been three years, that's not that soon.
-
Streamlined controller? I hope that doesn't mean smaller. I prefer the size of it vs the PS4 controller
-
Maybe Sent from the Windows Central App for Windows 10 Mobile
-
No. Streamlined controller.
-
True..was wondering y no one was talking bout the controller... I want one
-
Yesssssss!!!! Thank you MS!!
Now I can buy an Xbox one S
Slim versions are always nice
*whisper* how about a micro/mini version... Lol
Power, HDMI, Bluetooth, wifi in a roku size box! Lolol
Wishful thinking
Gotta what the streaming box looks like -
its possible, they can go the same route as OnLive and do every game digitally.
-
Because that works perfectly!

Microsoft is coming out smoking

Just my luck, I buy an Xbox one and then 6 months later they release a better one. Cheers Microsoft Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
I was gonna buy one last month and the 299 price is tempting... But I'm holding out for a XB1S
I have a 360S... Time to upgrade :) -
$259 on Amazon.
-
Even better!!!
-
"Just my luck, I buy an Xbox one and then 6 months later they release a better one. Cheers Microsoft"
You can't have both innovation and stagnate hardware. Xbox One was introduced three years ago. You getting one 6 months ago is not a Microsoft problem, that's a DannyHeard one ;) If you follow tech, are into tech, you better be able to pay up to keep up with tech. No sour grapes allowed. -
Yeah this^, in any case, a valid reason to upgrade is the 4k output, at least I can use that to justify a new purchase hehehe :-). Time to start saving up for thanksgiving!
-
Cut the guy a break, didn't think he was really whining about MS that bad, more of a, "oh, just my luck" kind of thing. BTW, I got mine 2 weeks ago, lol. But to be fair, I saw the rumors of slimmed down version already, and didn't feel like waiting. I did expect it to cost more, though it looks like that might not be the case.
-
Where is the white Kinect to match? #nevergoingtohappen
-
Just wait. ;)
-
I can count the number of TVs with white bezels on the fingers of one foot. I'll happily use my BLACK kinect on top of my BLACK televisions.
-
"fingers of one foot".... isn't that a toe?
-
No, he's saying there isn't any white TV's heh.
-
VERTICAL. SO HAPPY. Seriously this will make life in my set up so much easier. So much want.
-
Yeah I just rearranged my set up and planned to set my XB1 on its side... checked the manual and it was a no go... so I am happy to hear the update has this feature... Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
Anyone worrying about having bought an xbox one recently keep in mind: no word on price or included games. I think the bundles that have been going around online are well worth the price. 300 bucks for 4 games, 1tb console, and an extra controller/gift card is bonkers.Still better off with a gaming PC, but if you must sit on the couch and are too afraid to build a pc then get the console.
-
You do realise they aren't mutually exclusive? This PC master race thing is so tiresome even if said in jest. I enjoy PC gaming and console gaming, why do you have to pick a side? BTW you don't have to "build" a PC, you can buy them ready made from retail stores.
-
^This. Who says console and PC gaming must be enjoyed separately? All that matters is that you have fun playing your games.
-
The elitism seems to never stop...
-
Pretty
-
Hey glad I waited! Potential buy for me.
-
Really ugly, both the white and the holes. Blech.
-
Luckily you're just supposed to play it, not marry it ;)
-
Dream crusher.
-
Marry for beauty? How superficial.
-
It's superb personality goes without saying.
-
Luckily, I don't have to do either, because no way I buy this thing. I'll wait for the new model, while hoping it doesn't look like someone had too much fun with it.
-
Lol I saw what u did there Lumia 928 on build 10586.338
-
I pity your husband Please downvote me. I'm aiming for the most.
-
Some people are either glass half empty or half full kind of people. You my friend seem like a glass empty apart from a droplet at the bottom type guy.
-
Ahh, because I don't sing the praises of everything MS does, I'm a pessimist. It sounds like you're just interested in trying to talk dissenters down like some kind of Internet brainwasher.
-
LOVE the white, not convinced about the grid of holes though. I far prefer the striped grill.
-
Where does it say it'll only come in white?
-
It looks really nice but I probably won't replcace my existing one unless they really make it worth my while (as was the case with the 360S where it was cheaper to trade in than upgrade my hard drive). Scorpio next year could be a different story.
-
I don't have a 4K TV, nor do I need a smaller sized console. I agree that this may not be worth an upgrade (besides maybe the 2TB, but I have external harddrives so maybe not). I see this as more of a device bought by new Xbox owners or someone who has either a 4K display/need a smaller console. Now, the Scorpio has definitely got my attention (if it actually is released, it still is a rumor.)
-
And the kinect? Pretty sure there's an opportunity to make that thing *much* smaller and sleeker. Couldn't have an Xbox1 without Kinect and voice commands, especially with Cortana coming
-
Cortana works with an external mic. I believe she has to be internet enabled though.
-
Which plugs in where? And the mic or Cortana needs to be internet enabled? Cortana is fairly useless if it isn't internet connected.. If you mean the mic, what are you talking about?
-
Headset mic.
-
Ah yeah, I'm looking forward to picking up a controller and putting on a headset mic every time I want to use Cortana on my Xbox. That'll kill off the PS4 completely. /s
-
Some people just can't be pleased. You can still buy a Kinect if you want one. People bitched and moaned about it being required, people bitched and moaned about it not being required, shut up and either buy it or don't. No one wants to hear the ******** and moaning anymore.
-
Thank you.... the Xbox one has not got a break. Now we have a CV crippled Frankenstein of what it could have been... all due to people... Why rant further... enjoy your day and e3. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
No one cares about the Kinect
-
Ignorant, presumptuous and short sighted, nice one Tom.
-
I love my Kenect, so I do
-
I do, so you are kinda wrong... Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
Let me rephrase that: Juding by the experiences of my friends that work at the Microsoft Store, Microsoft removing Kinect features and commands and updates, and the lack of Kinect-exclusive games, I can infer that Microsoft is not prioritizing the Kinect.
-
Way better than the original XBox One. Dunno what Microsoft were thinking launching that huge brief case in boring black colour only. Portability and styling matters. Now we are talking.
-
They were thinking that they didn't want to take any chances on the console overheating en masse like the 360 did.
-
Perhaps, but as I said to someone else who made a similar comment, the PS4 is using the same chip, and it's significantly smaller than the XB1. I understand what happened with the X360, but they had to have known what the possibilities were with the chip they were given design wise.
-
It's because Sony are better at engineering their consoles than MS. This is why PlayStations never have an external PSU.
-
Actual ps4 is a flying helicopter
-
If that were the case then Sony consoles would never fail and the yellow light of death would never have been a thing for the PS3 which was notorious for overheating.
-
And by all accounts the PS4 runs both hotter and louder than the Xbox. As with many things, there is always a tradeoff when you pick form over function.
-
Yep... yet form is winning this days. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
Never understood why people take issue with the XB1 being black.. Pretty much any electronic device in the living room is gonna be black (TV, cable box, BD/DVD/VCR, home theater gear, stereo/radio, remotes, PS2-4, Wii/WiiU, and all Xbox generations... The list goes on) Any other color will just stick out like a sore thumb lol
-
Glad you mentioned VCR :) I agree, the black is pretty standard. It never ends what people complain about.
-
Man there better not be a streamlined elite controller or I'm gonna be p###ed
-
So more powerful than regular One? If so, I'm so buying it.
-
Just a bigger internal drive and a different HDMI port I believe.
-
Same power, same hardware, just 4K video (not gameplay) and more inbuilt storage. And of course the smaller design. ...Based upon this leak, anyway. Maybe this console packs some stuff we don't know about, we won't know for sure until Microsoft officially announce it.
-
ITS WHITE. YAAAAAS!!!!! godamn finally. White is right!! time to win fans!! i hope they buy my old xbox LOL
-
Racist.
-
white for consoles is always the right direction, to put it in a longer term. the xbox 360 has attracted more gamers due to it being white, and you can see that in sales. It's why Apple chose white for their technology. It embodies cleanliness and purity and just down right sexy on technologies. Stop shoving race into this conversation, ya **** face. And for the record, im a minority.
-
And for the record, you completely missed the sarcasm.
-
uhhh okay. sarcasm comments are ended with /sarcasm. His comment was just straight up, "RACIST" baiting for a response, and he got one.
-
You're a moron.
-
um there are white xbox ones right now ... Quantum Break Bundle. and i think a few others.
-
Funny how you can say black is beautiful, or once you've had black u never go back and that is just fine, no one even cares if its white trash, but say white is right and it becomes racist.
-
Well gee, I wonder why that is?
-
If the bluray player has been upgraded to 4k bluray count me preordered.
-
Yep. Even though I don't have a 4k player I've been buying the 4k titles (with hd disc included) for when the players drop to below atmospheric pricing.
-
Thanks for spoiling some of excitement for tomorrow. SO close, and every media you look at shows new Xbox. So annoying to be honest, not just this but in general. Hope there will be a lot of interesting news tomorrow though, that haven't leaked to news sites.
-
I want one. But my current one has games, I have not brought, mysteriously download on it. Don't want to give that up
-
its called games for gold. you must have downloaded them.
-
You can backup and copy/transfer anything on your current console to an external drive and then transfer those to the new console.
-
Looks like they took a PS4 and straightened it out.
-
Well.. I've honestly always thought that the Xbox One and PS4 look similar except the PS4 having that weird, slant shape thing.
-
There's only so much you can do to a device that's just needs a BluRay drive, power button, and maybe some front USB ports. The 360E I think is as clean as it goes. The PS4 is trendy, and the XboxOne too bulky. This slim model looks nice so far. I might finally replace the 360E with one of these if the price is right. My guess is these will be $399 again.
-
If this is the only model they have, they better put it up for 350. They're down 2-1 in sales, so having it for 400 isn't such a good idea IMHO.
-
I could see the normal One being sold cheaper than the S. Just a guess, and would make sense to me.
-
I suppose. They have the 2TB drive in there, and MS has often used that to push the price up, especially since their consoles are often closed for self upgrades.
-
looks good, but i tihnk the normal xbox one looks fine too! A little bit big is it tough...
-
Internal PSU would be nice. For the life of me, I don't get how MS could make the XboxOne so big and still manage to make it run on a giant external brick.
-
Because they don't want the second hottest park having to be cooled by the same cooler thats working hard to keep the rest of the console cool already. Just play any recent game on the PS4 and you'll quickly see why using a brick is a good idea. They get very VERY loud, and the heat pumping out the back of those things can defrost a turkey.
-
Weird, mine doesn't change volumes at all with games, and I have my TV volume down low when I play so I don't wake the kids. I bought a later model PS4, so maybe that helps? Also, I might add that the PS4 is much smaller than the XboxOne. Sony didn't have to build so small, and MS didn't have to go so big! Shrinking the package is usually reserved for the model refresh, as yeilds improve and effeciencies can be gained. It's like neither really figured out where the middle ground should be after the 360/PS3 era. Don't be cheap with cooling, but don't go complicated and risk failure. PS4 seems dependent on complex cooling. The One just uses a cavern.
-
Probably because my first launch PS4 had a really loud fan I ignored it but then it had unfortunately a hardware failure specifically the hard drive. I bought an Xbox 3 months later the fan is quiet haha I lower my TV volume to check if it works. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android (V10 or 5x)
-
This isn't true. The PS4 gets LOUD when accessing the Optical Drive, but it is basically the same as the XBone as far as noise is concerned in everything else. But really, what computer system doesn't? There's a lot of spinning going there. On the PSU note, the leakster stated this new one would have an internal PSU. This would be a first time I'd see an Xbox without a Brick if true.
-
PS4 is clearly louder. Put them both in a TV cabinet and the PS4 gets even more louder. Xbox One clearly wins. And the size suits other audio components better.
-
Well maybe that is what is different for me. Mine is in an open cabinet with large open areas in front and back. I also had an XboxOne. It may have had a quieter optical drive, but then again, it also had problems reading perfectly good discs.
-
The original Xbox had an internal PSU--and it weighed a ton!
-
Lol
-
Looks good, very familiar yet nicely refreshed. I've no incentive to upgrade my Xbox One, it'll still work the exact same, and for that I'm quite happy. I'll consider Scorpio, though...
-
To be honest, I didn't expect it to look that good.
-
Would this be VR capable?
-
Same specs, just smaller with harder HDD.
-
Ah this isn't the Scorpio. Thanks!
-
Awesome...hopfully normal xbox ones will go down in price a bit now. I don't mind the suitcase sized console.
-
On eBay my bud just bought his for $240 -3games headset and a controller

Link?

I'll be picking one of these up. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android

Microsoft is trying to hold onto there Ace which makes sense right now. Let Ps and Nintendo go first. Next year E3 Scorpio with Oculus and Kinect support. Knockout punch!
-
I hope 4K isn't only for streaming. If it doesn't have an Ultra HD Blu-Ray drive, it's not worth buying.
-
Same here, otherwise it's not worth buying.
-
It seems you forgot to switch accounts when you supported yourself. ;-)
-
lol
-
COme on people just wait for tomorrow when Microsoft's press statement for E3... We should know everything by then. I hope they dont make the hardware a lot better in the slim, as it could cause fragmenation on the Xbox one...
-
I want it time to trade in my xbox one. only would get it if i can connect my kinect to it. i hope they dont remove that ability.
-
I was planning to get a second Xbox One and this might look and work great with my 4K TV. :D
-
As long as white isn't the only option and that the blu-ray player doesn't suck like the current one does (and that it actually reads 4K Blu-Rays), I might actually consider it. But I'll wait for the official announcement. And possibly for Sony to unveil the PS4K before deciding what to do.
-
Ok, this Xbox One looks BEAUTIFUL. I love the styling on it and I think it could definitely fit into my unit. After all, it is smaller.
-
Can't argue with your logic.
-
I'm curious, this is not to be confused with "Scorpion" correct?
-
Nah, Scorpio is the updated model rumoured for 2017. Much more beefy, upgraded console.
-
No, not at all. That Scorpio one is supposed to be a complete upgrade for VR. Rumors stated there would be 3...An Apple TV Type, A Slim Type(this one), and a Bad Ass type, for next year in order to support Oculus Rift and so forth.
-
I JUST ******* BOUGHT A ONE FOR CHRIST SAKE!
-
Been rumoured for months, you don't keep up with tech news?
-
wtf microsoft... I have had my xbox for less than a year and you come up with this. SOMETHING THAT STANDS VERTICALLY????
-
Looks nice, but I still love my Forza 6 Xbox One.
-
Very ugly. Is there a black version?
-
Loving it! But what does "streamlined controller" mean?
-
How about the internals? No Polaris chip?
-
Lol. You do know that consoles lack desktop grade graphics right?
-
Polaris is an architecture not a chip. And I'm pretty sure most rumors say it will have a Polaris based GPU. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android

Love it love it love it, but still not enough to make me want to buy a new one. My Xbox one is just fine :)
-
Right but this is definitely for holdouts and diehards, it's still all out exciting as hell tho =P Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10 on my Lumia 950!
Step off, haters! U-U -
Yeah, I am definintly getting the Original for it's new cheaper price or the Slim. I am a holdout. :P
-
I'd say the same but for one thing: I have a 4K tv that supports 10 bit color (AKA High Dynamic Range), which, far more than resolution, is THE reason to buy 4K. So, yeah. My Xbox One is going up for sale and I'm getting this :P
-
How much for your Xbox One?
-
Any hint on the TV pass through, staying / going? Alot of the upgraded specs will be to support VR though right (aside from res)? Something that both camps missed when working one XboxOne and PS4!
-
Its gorgeous! Love the design, but I don't buy it either. My current Xbox can handle 1 more year.
-
If this has a 4K Blu Ray then I'll buy one. Otherwise I get 4K Amazon and Netflix via the built in apps of my LG TV so not much need for it for me.
-
atmos support via blu ray now?
-
Almost, but no. One, I just bought the GoW white X1 back in November. Two, I loathe the front loading slots and prefer disc trays or top-load trays like the PS/Saturn/Dreamcast days.
-
So I assume there will be another Xbox coming next year with even more beefed up specs since they plan is to be able to incorporate Oculus?
-
Correct, the rumored Xbox One Scorpio is supposed to be a significant spec bump
-
I feel like I deserve this as a free upgrade. Just my opinion. At least they put their balls on the table. Kudos.
-
Why do you think that? Do you deserve a brand new phone, laptop or tablet for free every year as well?
-
What I want is a chromcast like Dongle or Box that allows me to stream and play a game on a different tv in another room, if they are producing a streaming device I would like that, so you buy one xbox but can use it anywhere
-
Xbox 0.6
-
Shouldn't the vent holes be at the top of the device when it's vertical? My only guess is the want a lot of cold air intake.
-
Wowza!!!
-
Congratulations your VHS has been upgraded into DVD
-
I have just bought a one!
-
Okay I am kind of pissed I just bought the daum Xbox One Elite Edition last month so that I could have both systems now they are releasing a new Xbox all together wow paind 500.00 for something that is done in just at a month thanks Microsoft.
-
Why are you whining? You bought a console a month before E3, when there have rumors of a new console design coming but somehow thats microsofts fault? And how is the elite system done because a new version is coming out? Stop complaining and learn how to shop. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
