Every week, new stuff drops on Xbox Music and Xbox Video that it becomes hard to keep up. Well, that's where we come in. It's the weekend, and we'll help entertain you.

Xbox Music

The Wombats - Glitterbug

Glitterbug is the Wombat's fourth album that features an 11 song tracklist. The UK based band has been teasing their album since last fall, and it has finally arrived this week.

After listening to the album, I've grown fond of the songs Isabel and Headspace. IF you like these songs as well, you should definitely check out the full album.

Brandon Flowers - Still Want You

Most people don't know him by name, but all recognize him as the lead singer of The Killers. Brandon Flowers released his first solo album back in 2010 and is now working on his next album The Desired Effect which is slated for release next month.

His second single from the new album Still Want You released this week, and it shows that the album is definitely heading in a different direction from his first album. Be sure to check it out using the link below.

  • The Wombats...
  • Well done.
  • Remember your a wom....oh, wrong song :)
  • They're fantastic.
  • Anyone else notice that streaming is no longer for the majority of songs on Xbox music phones? I have to download the song/album to hear the entire track/album
  • Listen to Three Days Grace new album, Human Race. It's pretty decent
  • I'm in Romania and I am willing to pay for the Xbox video services. What do I need to do?
  • $15!? Lol! You could buy the dvd twice for the same amount, or torrent it and have it for free. Microsoft rip you off with their prices big time!
  • It's the studios that set the prices, I'm sure Microsoft would love to lower the prices to bring more people to the its services.
  • People keep thinking Microsoft is this righteous entity that wants to do good for them. The reality is far from that. Microsoft charges more for videos for sure. Like a dollar extra. Just here you can compare that Batman movie that costs 3.99 on Amazon video vs 4.99 on Xbox video to rent. Xbox video is the biggest service ripoff from Microsoft.
  • Amazon are renowned for making wafer thin profits and of course have way more buyers, so Amazon would get better discounts, hence lower prices.
  • Awesome band just so you all know ;) saw them in Sheffield last weekend and it was fantastic. One of the best around!
  • Purchased star wars bundle on xbox video, couldn't download anything. After several hours troubleshooting and contacting support they refunded me and said to 'try purchasing again' in a few days. Bit of a pain in the a***
  • I love Xbox Music, I purchased an Album from Armin Van Buuren, ATB, W&W, Rank 1 and Andrew Rayel called A State of Trance 600 which comes with five discs and amazing 76 tracks. I purchased this when Windows 8 was launched (about 2 years ago), I stored it in a hard drive since I formatted my PC and got a new phone and with the Xbox update I just found I was able to play it or even download it again since it appears on my purchased music. This is a great accomplishment and I'll begin to purchase more music on this platform since it's as good as iTunes.
  • What about Thugger! #queuethehate
  • My recommendation for new listening would be Wire's new album, released this week. After 37 years, they have finally decided on a self-titled album. I don't think it is quite as good as the last few but it's not far off. A little more laid back but still with plenty of experimentation. They are one band who keep finding new directions to explore, without straying too far from what punters expect. It's a neat balancing act.
  • Agreed......almighty great fat rip off! I download stuff from soulseek every day (its amazing)
