Deep Rock Galactic is a first-person co-op shooter for up to four players. It features procedural and destructible environments to explore, mine, and explode your way through. As a team of dwarven space miners, you take on dangerous missions for a corporation. The game is all about teamwork and communication.
Today, Coffee Stain Publishing and Ghost Ship Games detailed "Update 16" which adds the "Glacial Strata" to Deep Rock Galactic. The new ice level brings with it a number of challenges. Not only are there blizzards, snow, and extreme temperatures to contend with, you also have to destroy swarms of monsters like the "Mactera Ice Bomber" and the "Frost Praetorian". The download should hit Xbox One and PC soon.
The developer plans to release half a dozen other updates before the end of the year. They will bring a deeper progression system, new armor and weapons, and a completely reworked home base.
Deep Rock Galactic is currently available in Xbox Game Preview and Steam Early Access for $24.99. The game features Xbox One X enhancements.
