The new Razer Blade, which we ranked as the best laptop for gaming, is now available to purchase at the Windows Store (opens in new tab). Microsoft's online store is offering the Razer Blade in two configurations, featuring either a 512GB SSD for $1,999 or a 1TB SSD for $2,399.

As for what you can expect out of the Blade, the laptop comes VR-ready out of the box thanks to an NVIDIA GTX 1060 graphics chip. The laptop also packs in 16GB of RAM, along with an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor. The Razer Blade also features a FHD 14-inch display, and comes in at 4 pounds and just 0.7-inches thick.

If you're looking for a solid, thin gaming laptop to use on the go, the Razer Blade should definitely fit the bill. Be sure to check out the Microsoft Store for more, and let us know if you're planning to nab one of your own!

  • Cough, bought one last night, cough Mark Guim, our videographer, is finally (finally!) throwing in the towel on Mac and getting the same Blade but with QHD (I prefer matte). A few others here are also getting this one, so we'll be doing some, um, extensive coverage.
  • Omg... I want to be like you when I grow up. In the tech department that is. Surface book came out and you had the most expensive one, surface book with performance base and you have that, now a Razer. Congrats, to a fellow tech lover. And keep up the good work on windows central.
  • We bought one less than two months ago and Razer has had it for over a week trying to repair the keyboard. I must say that their level of support is absolutely horrendous compares to other PC manufacturers. We have had to ride them to get it in for service and stay on top of them to find out what is going on. Still waiting for over two days for shipping information from them. We bought through Microsoft store and they only cover for thirty days and then you are out of luck (according to them) and then we found ourselves stuck between two companies. Razer kept telling us that "if we would have just bought from them then......". Nothing against the laptop, but just not feeling warm and fuzzy about the process.

On such an expensive machine I always recommend the $99 protection plan from MS, may have helped here.
  • I wish I would have done so.
  • still waiting for mine to arrive. so excited!
  • Geezus, where do you get the dough for all the stuff you buy? Sooo much tech goodness!
  • Good for guys, am actually starting to consider moving from my dell 15 7559 i7 to either Razer or alienware 15 with gtx 1070
  • I heard it has over-heating problems and that razer locked the gpu so it's 10-15% less than other 1060 gpu laptops.  Here's a link to the thread https://insider.razerzone.com/index.php?threads/razer-blade-2016-gtx-1060-benchmarks.17082/page-59
  • I would have bought this laptop only if it had support for Windows hello. The specs are perfect and the design is one of the best but, iris scanner or a finger print reader is a must have especially for that price.
  • I want this.  Although my 6yr old Asus republic of gamers keeps chugging along and runs WoW at high settings which is good enough for me
  • Just ordered mine from Amazon and also got the matte. My SP3 will still remain my main workhorse. Looking forward to paying Recore on the Blade. Thinking those professional's unhappy with the new MacBook Pro (not Pro) could see this or the Stealth model as a better replacement.
  • There does seem to be a lot of crossover. I always hear Mac people bring up the Blade or Stealth as something they'd consider. Battery life, however, is not nearly as good for obvious reasons.
  • Razer laptops not sold in india! This is the main reason there are low PC sales!
  • I think it has something to do with your economic state rather than if razer laptops are being sold there.
  • Best gaming laptop would have best video card.
  • Portability makes it the best for me.
  • I prefer my gaming laptop to be 17", specially with such a video card that would power more immersive games.
  • Yep
  • I have a 17" gaming laptop and barely use it. It was too heavy and bulky to carry around comfortably.
  • We seem to sliding back into the old habits of reporting things like this was a US only website. The Razer Blade is now available in the US Microsoft Store. I get an "oops cannot find it" because its not available in my store. Little things...
  • That GTX 1060, doesn't really sound enough for the price..
  • It's the size and weight that warranted the price.
  • Sorry, I can't hear you when doing 100+ FPS on Ultra in DOOM on this Razer..... lol
  • Hi Daniel, just wondering if you guys will test the new Alienware 13 R3 with OLED?  Any chance of a head to head article between the two? .  Looking for a portable VR system and I can't decide between them.  Thx
  • hmm blade or stealth..they both look equally attractive to me
  • 2 grand?? DAYUM!
  • Cant wait for it to be available in canadian microsoft stores, hopefully wont take longer than a week or so
