Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the conclusion to Lara Croft's origin story. Lara must master a deadly jungle, overcome terrifying tombs, and persevere through her darkest hour. As she races to save the world from a Mayan apocalypse, Lara will ultimately be forged into the Tomb Raider she is destined to be.
The game has a lot of tombs and other side objectives, but it's about to get a lot more content very soon. Recently, developer Eidos Montreal and publisher Square Enix announced "The Forge" expansion. The Forge will be available as a free download to all season pass holders, and sold separately. The expected launch date is November 13, 2018.
The Forge contains the first of seven new adventures for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The description states that "Lara must brave the lava-flooded Forge of the fallen gods to uncover the secrets of Kuwaq Yaku. Throughout her journey, she will uncover details about a friend's ancient legacy, and overcome a danger long thought to be lost in flame."
The Forge also brings with it a challenge tomb which is playable in co-op. The video above showcases some co-op gameplay. Completing it awards players special armor and weapons. Additionally, completing side quests in the main campaign also gives you powerful gear. Shadow of the Tomb Raider launched a few weeks ago and has since garnered a lot of support from consumers. Be sure to give it a go if you like adventure games along the lines of Uncharted.
