FAQ

When is Black Friday 2025?

Black Friday officially begins on November 28, 2025, but as you can see from the deals I've collected above, the meaningful discounts are already in full swing. Expect retailers to continue to offer sizable price cuts as we approach the proper date.

When is Cyber Monday 2025?

Cyber Monday follows Black Friday, landing on December 1, 2025. The weekend between the two events is usually full of deals, and I'm expecting to see new deals arrive on Monday.

Is Black Friday/Cyber Monday a good time to buy a Surface PC?

Microsoft's Surface PCs are almost always discounted during major sales events, and I don't expect that Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2025 will be any different. It's usually the time when retailers pull out the lowest prices of the year, and I'll be sure to note it above whenever that happens.

Are Surface PCs good for gaming?

Microsoft's Surface PCs aren't built for gaming, but they will be able to handle lighter titles with relative ease. If you're buying a true gaming laptop, you'll want to find something with a discrete GPU and a more powerful AMD or Intel CPU.

The top discounts are usually found at the Microsoft Store, Best Buy, and Amazon. The Microsoft Store also offers price protection for purchases made through the holiday season.

What is the price protection promise from Microsoft for Black Friday?

The Microsoft Store often offers an extended price protection policy during the holiday shopping season, allowing customers who purchase a qualifying device to get a refund if Microsoft's price drops further before a specific date, often into January.
