NZXT announced the release of HUE 2 Ambient Kit V2, the second version of the rather solid HUE 2 Ambient Kit. The company made some improvements to the kit, addressing some of the concerns we had with our own review sample, which should please those looking to add some color to their gaming PC setup.
Here's what has been changed with HUE 2 Ambient Kit V2:
- Stronger Adhesive has been pre-applied to the rear of each strip, making them hold onto various textures and surfaces more effectively.
- A new L-shape connector for handling corners has been included, replacing existing 150mm cabling.
- Alcohol wipes are now included with the kit to ensure the rear of a monitor is clean before installing the strips and controller module.
Installing the kit on the rear of your monitor(s) will create a colorful ambiance, which can even reflect what's displayed on-screen in supported games. It's a neat kit with some great lighting effects and worth considering when looking to customize your desk workspace.
The HUE 2 Ambient Kit V2 is available in two versions, one for smaller (opens in new tab) (21- to 25-inch and 34- to 35-inch ultrawide monitors) displays and another for larger (opens in new tab) (26- to 32-inch) screens. It's available right now for $130.
