Strange Brigade is a curious game which blends Egyptian mythology and third-person shooting together. Today, developer Rebellion revealed the post-launch plans for the title. There will be free monthly updates alongside a slew of content as part of the game's season pass. It's unclear what the monthly updates bring to the game, but the studio did share everything in the season pass.
The season pass includes the following additions. The short campaign seems to be the highlight here.
- A three-part mini-campaign.
- New heroes from across the globe with unique abilities.
- New weapons, outfits and amulets.
According to Rebellion, Strange Brigade follows the story of the "Witch Queen Seteki". Risen from the dead, Seteki commands an army of mummified monstrosities who want to destroy the world. However, it's up to the Strange Brigade, a band of brave adventurers, to fight back. The story is eerily similar to what happens in all The Mummy films.
Strange Brigade is off for rip-roaring escapades on August 28, 2018. The 1930's co-op adventure is currently available for preorder on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. The game features Xbox One X enhancements as well. The Xbox One X version runs at 1800p resolution while the PlayStation 4 Pro only achieves 1440p. Strange Brigade starts at $49.99 for the standard edition.
