At Windows Central, we always try to keep you informed about interesting upcoming ID@Xbox games. ID@Xbox is Microsoft's program for indie developers which allows them to easily release games on the platform. Today, Xbox Wire revealed a title called For The King. For The King is coming to Xbox One on May 10, and offers players a unique strategy and roguelike experience which blends a lot of different titles together.
According to the post, For The King takes place after a disaster of unprecedented proportions. Chaos has befallen Fahrul and it's your job to avenge the murder of your king. Not only do you have to detail with hostile foreign entities, but you also have to focus on internal affairs. The game blends role-playing, tabletop, and roguelike elements together. You can also play it with up to three other players locally or online. The visual style is also unique because it features great lighting, but blocky visuals. In many ways the graphics remind us of Astroneer.
For The King contains six campaign modes. You can "take to the high seas and roam the waters... of Into The Deep or brave the cold and frigid ice wastelands in your search for treasure in Frost Adventure." The title focuses on exploring the map, and taking on various mission through different locales.
Hopefully For The King will be a polished experience when it launches on Xbox One next month. The game is already available on Steam, and includes a lot of content. Are you interested in the game? Let us know.
