What you need to know

  • Sea of Thieves is an open-world pirate adventure from Rare.
  • A video featuring an upcoming dungeon just leaked.
  • It seems like you'll have to evade traps and possibly fight skeletons to claims its rewards.
  • Sea of Thieves is part of Xbox Game Pass.

Updated March 12, 2020: The "Heart of Fire" update was delayed due to problems when Sea of Thieves Insiders tested the new version. Rare plans to launch the event on March 12 now.

Recently, Rare revealed the next update for Sea of Thieves. The "Crews of Rage" event not only brings new cosmetic items, but it also brings with it a new "Cursed Chest" and more. However, it seems like bigger changes are on the horizon.

Sea of Thieves may be getting a dungeon, probably the first of many, soon. A new video surfaced on Twitter which showcases a massive new area for players to explore. There are deadly traps and other challenges to overcome. While the footage doesn't show enemies, I imagine you'll probably have to fight a few, maybe even a boss, at the end of this dungeon.

Hopefully, Rare will confirm its existence and tell us more about it. This is quite possibly one of the biggest changes to Sea of Thieves and we can't wait to see what the developer does with this. This is the kind of surprising content the game needed!
