Should you buy the new Surface Slim Pen for the Surface Laptop 3?
Adding a stylus
Using a stylus with a laptop isn't for everyone, especially the Surface Laptop. The notebook isn't as portable as a Surface tablet, or even a Windows-powered 2-in-1, making any serious task with the Surface Slim Pen a little more tedious.
Where the Pen does come into play is taking notes and other minor applications, but you'll have to question yourself if all this is worth the price.
Upgraded Surface Laptop
Whether you buy the Surface Slim Pen with the Surface Laptop 3 or not, you're going to have a great time. Microsoft's latest laptop is powered by Intel's 10th Gen processors, as well as a custom CPU (Ryzen 7 with Vega 11) from AMD. Other specifications include a 13.5-inch 2256x1504 or a 15-inch 2496x1664 display, up to 32GB RAM, and up to 1TB of storage.
On the outside, you're looking at a gorgeous Surface design with a fancy new USB Type-C port — a great refresh of an already brilliant notebook.
Tablet Stylus
Microsoft's redesigned stylus
The Surface Book 3 isn't designed to go alongside a stylus, but if you really want to use one with the device, the new Surface Slim Pen is a great option.
Adding Type-C
Microsoft's powerful laptop
Microsoft has given the Surface Laptop a refresh with 13-inch and 15-inch varieties rocking a USB Type-C port and more options than before, including AMD CPUs.
