Sprint Treo Pro Surfaces at Best Buy

Just when we were expecting another delay in Sprint's release of the Treo Pro, we run across the phone in Best Buy's Mobile Buyer's Guide for March! The Treo Pro (listed as Palm Pro) will run you $249.99 with a two year contract. Strangely though, if you're upgrading it will run an extra $20 (activation fee?). There's no availability date listed but the Buyer's Guide is dated for February 22, 2009 through March 28. 2009.

Thanks Gabriel for the tip!

  • Reports of Internal Sprint documents showing March 11 now. Often preferred business and brightpoint get a device mid week and full launch on Sundays so it could be good news!
  • Funny thing is I called Sprint yesterday to check the status of my contract (1 month to go). I found an unlocked GSM Treo Pro online and was going to buy it and move to ATT (mostly for simultaneous voice and data). The rep said she had no internal material for the Pro but did have documents for the Pre. She didn
  • congratulations, you found an idiot CSR who didn't care about even glancing at their computer screen. Pro it is right there...there is a SKU (PTR850HK), a read out for the SKU, etc! The Sprint Pro manual is online at Sprint's site adn any CSR can read it, you can see stuff offered for the Pro in the software store, Best Buy has put the Pro it their sale circular, Sprint is running advertisng for the Pro in upscale publications like The Economist this week, with full price information, etc. No such things for the Pre!
    Sorry.
