Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II and Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams go free with Xbox's Games with Gold

It's the beginning of May, which means the month's first batch of free games is now available through Xbox's Games with Gold program. Starting now, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can pick up both Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams for Xbox One and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II for Xbox 360 completely free.

Usually coming in at $20, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II will be up for grabs for free through May 15. The second in the Force Unleashed series, the game follows Starkiller as you leverage his dual lightsabers and powerful Force powers on a search for truth following betrayal by Darth Vader. They may not be canon in the Star Wars universe anymore, but The Force Unleashed games are still a fun ride.

Meanwhile, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams — which usually runs $15 — will be free throughout the entire month of May. The game serves up fast-paced platforming action with unique style combined with puzzles in its dreamy worlds. With a total of 33 levels, there's plenty to check out if platformers and puzzles are your cup of tea.

Giana Sisters is only available for Xbox One, while Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is up for grabs on Xbox 360 and Xbox One via backward compatibility. Later this month, we'll also see Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, along with Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, go free through Games with Gold.
