The heroes and villains of the DC universe are almost ready to duke it out once more in Injustice 2, and now we know who else will be joining the initial launch lineup with the game's first DLC pack. A fresh trailer shows off all three characters that will be included in Fighter Pack 1, as it's known.
In all, the first DLC pack will include Red Hood, Starfire, and Sub-Zero. The first two are well known in the DC universe and aren't much of a surprise. The addition of Mortal Kombat's Sub-Zero, however, is a bit of a surprise — though Injustice developer NetherRealm Studios is also behind the Mortal Kombat games and is known for throwing in wacky DLC fighters from other franchises.
Learn more about these three fighters in our hands-on preview of Injustice 2.
NetherRealm is promising six more DLC fighters in addition to the three included with Fighter Pack 1. All will be available for anyone who picks up the $99 Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition. There are no pricing or release date details available just yet for Fighter Pack 1, but we should know more soon. Injustice 2 itself is due for a May 16 release on Xbox One, and is up for pre-order now.
