What you need to know
- If you order a $5 of Taco Bell, you can get 14 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
- You can get an extra 30 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate if you are a new subscriber.
- You may have to eat Taco Bell to do this.
It looks like Microsoft really wants everybody to be on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The company even roped Taco Bell into helping them. For a limited time, if you order the $5 Xbox food box online, or via the Taco Bell app, you will receive an email with a code to try out Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for 14 days.
If you're a new subscriber and you set your payment to recur, Xbox will add 30 days more for free before you actually pay for the first time. Don't worry if you already subscribe though, you get your normal Xbox Gold membership converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for the rest of its life for free.
This is a pretty great deal for everyone, especially Microsoft. It's going all-in on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate so the more people it can hook in with these kinds of deals the better.
Best of the best
Xbox Game Pass gives you access to over 200 games for one monthly fee. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also adds Xbox Live Gold to the package so you can play online with your friends.

James built his first PC when he was 13 and has never looked back. He can be found on Windows Central, usually in the corner where all the 3D printers are, or huddled around the Xbox playing the latest games.
Does this stack? Can I get taco bell for some friends and get multiple 14 day passes.
"Don't worry if you already subscribe though, you get your normal Xbox Gold membership converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for the rest of its life for free." Am I reading this correctly? If I'm an Xbox Gold subscriber, and I order this deal, I will be upgraded to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for free for ever?
No, what that means is if you have time left on your Xbox Gold subscription, if you convert to an Ultimate subscription, you will not lose the time you already paid for. Said another way, if you have 6 months of Gold left, and choose to convert to Ultimate, then you will have Ultimate for 6 months until it renews at the cost of the Ultimate plan. Keeping in mind, upgrading to Ultimate is a one-way transaction, you cannot go back to Gold once going Ultimate. But you can cancel. ;)
Yeah and so, if you want to convert your Gold to Ultimate, be sure to top your Gold sub to 3 years. Saves you a good 300 USD.
Thank you! That makes a lot more sense when worded that way.
Oh yeah, sorry if that doesn't make sense. When I say "it's life" I mean the rest of your current subscription length.
Thank you for signing up to Windows Central. You will receive a verification email shortly.
