Domino's Pizza orders up an app fix for hungry Windows 10 Mobile users

After a seemingly long absence Domino's Pizza have pushed out a small update to fix their online ordering app for Windows 10 Mobile users.

You can now order pizza from Domino's with Cortana, at least in the UK and Ireland

Domino's has updated the official Windows Phone app for those who reside in the UK and Ireland. This latest release enables customers to order their pizza using Cortana, or SmartGlass to connect to their Xbox One (should they own one). Just in case you thought ordering the hearty meals proved too difficult, it's now even easier to get the ordering done.

Getting crusts-on with the Domino's app for Xbox One

This week Domino's Pizza jumped into the world of Xbox One applications. Or in the UK and Republic of Ireland it did, at least. It's not the first time a pizza delivery app has been available on a games console, but Domino's latest joins its apps for Windows, Windows Phone, iOS and Android.

So, while we're waiting on it getting out into a few more countries we've fired up a British console and gone for a test order. All in the name of, er, science. Or something.

Rumored deal could allow Xbox One gamers to order pizza from Domino's using Kinect

No need to get up from the couch anymore after hours of gaming have exhausted your fingers. Soon, Xbox One gamers can order a pizza from Domino's without having to get up from their couch or pick up their phones as a reported deal will bring the pizza ordering app to Microsoft's gaming console, allowing users to order with voice and gesture control thanks to Kinect integration. The rumored partnership is said to be announced next month with an app to launch soon after.

MapQuest and Domino’s Pizza app for Windows Phone 8 get updated today

Two updates have rolled out today for some popular apps on Windows Phone: Domino’s Pizza and MapQuest, making sure you know how to find your local pizza shop for that carryout order.

First up is Domino’s Pizza, which launched back in June for Windows Phone 8 in US markets and it has sadly become one of our most used apps (running on a treadmill while ordering your next meal is über convenient). Since then, the app hasn’t had any updates but today it gets a minor one with version 1.1 ready for delivery.

Official U.S. Domino’s Pizza app for Windows Phone 8 now available! Here's a tour.

Although Domino’s Pizza has had an app for the UK (and Ireland) for some time now, Windows Phone users in the US have been left without a mobile option—until today.

Hurrah! Domino’s Pizza (www.dominos.com) has made a full-fledged, US-dedicated app for Windows Phone 8 that allows you to access your account, place your order (pickup/delivery) and even follow its status with Domino’s famed “tracker” service. Throw in some voice controls and a Live Tile and we’re all set for Saturday night!

Domino’s Pizza updates their UK app for Windows Phone 8, but still no love for the US

We get some criticism from people for liking Domino’s Pizza (because we live in New York) but let’s be clear: Domino’s is pretty delicious and serves a roll in our culinary selection on occasion. It’s like what Taco Bell is to Mexican food—it’s not the same or better, just different.

So with that preamble, we’re excited and miffed to see the official Domino’s app get updated for Windows Phone 8—with some killer features too. The bad news is it’s only for the UK and Ireland, which as an American I find…odd.

What’s new in version 1.1.1.0 just released to the Store today? Glad you asked.
