Recently, Sega and Two Point Studios announced a hilarious Theme Hospital successor called Two Point Hospital. While the announcement trailer was quirky and featured a fictitious disease known as "Light-Headedness," it didn't showcase gameplay or other mechanics. Luckily, the publisher released a somewhat normal trailer today.

The video gives players an in-depth look at the development process and inspirations behind the game. While a lot of different elements go into making such a title, offering a hilarious and entertaining experience is at the heart of it. Aside from coding, coming up with fictitious diseases and "medical devices" to cure them seem like it was a major creative challenge. More importantly though, there's also proper gameplay footage in the trailer this time around.

Two Point Hospital isn't just about treating lightbulbs, it involves managing a hospital and taking care of patients with bizarre ailments. The game, from the creators of Theme Hospital, is set to be a return to one of gaming's most loved simulator genres. Two Point Hospital draws on the experience of some the gaming industry's most experienced and successful developers who, between them, have worked on titles like Black and White, Fable, and Theme Park.

Sega says that Two Point Hospital is coming to PC in late 2018. Hopefully the game will live up to expectations. From what we've seen so far, Two Point Hospital's focus on humor is the right approach to tackling a hospital environment. We'll keep you posted as soon as we know more about the project in the coming weeks.
