Wasteland 3, the game that has been collecting near-perfect review scores, is officially out and ready to be played by the public. Wasteland 3 sees players enter a world destroyed by nuclear war hundreds of years into the future. Rather than sit around and mope about it, your character will descend into the chaotic and war-torn Colorado as part of the Arizona Rangers, one of the last vestiges of law and order remaining in the land, to try and secure new trade routes for your people. Suffice to say, things do not at all go the way you intend, and instead fall further into madness.

If Wasteland 3 seems like it's up your alley, be sure to grab the game directly from Microsoft. Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass can also enjoy Wasteland 3 at no additional cost right now until the end of time, further increasing the value offered by the service. However you choose to play the game, you're in for a treat.

  • Loving it so far. Although it has crashed a couple times for me on my Xbox one s
  • I'm really enjoying it myself, but I'm only about 5 hours in. It feels like it will be really cumbersome to manage towards the end, but hopefully I'm wrong. This is much easier to control than Gears Tactics, though i didn't use a controller for GT so I guess I shouldn't really say that for certain.
  • I've put about 7 hours in so far. You were right Jez. This game is amazing. It makes you realise that RPGs today aren't really RPGs anymore. Wasteland 3 really brings the Role part of Role playing back again. Games like this really show how causal and mainstream some of the modern games have become. This is so in depth, so well written and turn based combat feels so fresh oddly enough. Tactical, engrossing. Both Wasteland 3 and The Outer Worlds are the best RPGs I've played this Gen. Proper Role playing games. Not watered down mechanics and spamming a dodge button.
