What you need to know
- WhatsApp might be removed from the Microsoft Store after July 1, 2019.
- Windows Phone is losing support for WhatsApp at the end of 2019.
- Other older operating systems are also losing support.
This phrasing is a bit vague since it uses the word "might," but it seems likely that WhatsApp will be removed from the Microsoft Store sometime in the relatively near future.
It was already known that the Windows Phone version of WhatsApp is losing support by the end of 2019. In addition to the Windows Phone version losing support, Android versions 2.3.7 and older and iOS 7 and older are also losing support, though those are supported until February 1, 2020.
Once a version of WhatsApp is no longer supported, features might stop working since it's no longer being developed. If you already have WhatsApp on your Windows Phone, it might work for some time after support is ended, but could stop functioning at any moment.
WhatsApp allows you to message, voice call, and video chat with millions of users around the world through an internet connection.

KLIM Aim RGB gaming mouse (opens in new tab) ($30 at Amazon)
Whether you're a gamer or not, this is an absurdly good mouse for the price. It's ambidextrous, has a responsive sensor, a braided cable, tank-like build quality, and, yes, it has RGB lighting, though you can turn it off if that's not your thing.
AmazonBasics USB speakers (opens in new tab) ($16 at Amazon)
These neat little speakers may only pack 2.4W of total power, but don't let that fool you. For something so small you get a well-rounded sound and a stylish design. And they only cost $16.
Razer mouse bungee (opens in new tab) ($20 at Amazon)
Use a wired mouse? You need a mouse bungee to keep your cable tidy and free of snags. You get no drag on the cable, and this one has subtle styling, a rust-resistant spring and a weighted base, all for $20.

Therefore, goodbye my fantastic Lumia 1520...
Over one app?
Especially since there are still a few group messaging app options out there, like LINE, GroupMe, and the like.
Telegram Messenger is the one you need. The rest is crap.
Yeah tell all your friends and family to change to a different messaging app (sarcasm). It's not that easy to get everyone to switch apps.
Not a problem, I was already planning on leaving WhatsApp before, part of my no social media effort... Besides, We still have LINE on Microsoft Store, it's working perfectly fine. I have some few friends that use it.
Who cares 💯💯💯lol.
I assume the troglodytes still using Windows Phone care!
And what about Windows 10 Mobile?
