Back compat galore
Microsoft made a splash when it announced backward compatibility for Xbox One a few years ago, bringing hundreds of original Xbox and Xbox 360 games to the platform.
Although it was a lengthy process, the program eventually saw hundreds of titles hit Xbox One, from a massive range of developers and publishers, large and small. Even heavy-hitters like Call of Duty joined the fray, with Microsoft committing various classics of its own to the list. You can browse the full library of available backward compatible games right here.
In its official Xbox Series X post, Microsoft has effectively committed to bringing all of the Xbox One backward compatible games forward for the ride.
However, there's still the possibility that publishers may not wish to allow their games to be backward compatible with Xbox Series X, but we've seen no evidence to suggest any games are being pulled at this time. At least for now, you can expect basically every piece of content you own on Xbox One to move forward to next-gen with you.
