  • I honestly think it makes more sense for MS to continue to partner with a well spec'd, but afforable mid-ranger like Alcatel to build the next 'gap phone' until MS figures out what to do.  The Idol '5' w/Snapdragon 835 would be an ideal next step on the consumer side (even though MS has left the consumer market) until they find the next big thing...
  • that's more up to Alcatel rather than MS. Alcatel isn't even releasing updates.
  • That's pretty sad. I did have high hopes for that phone. Ads in which file explorer?
  • That's true...but you don't think MS and Alcatel has a conversation before the Idol 4S was ported & released for WP?
  • It's great we have 2 former flagships, HP x3 and Alcatel Idol 4S, but we don't have any midrange or low end phones! We haven't had one since 2014 actually. SD400+1GB ram is barely crawling on W10 RS2.
  • DTMF mixed quality BADLY affects your communications. I have a real story for you; I'm calling one of my banks, they Rep is transferring me to a robot to enter my pin #... I'm entering it, and the robot can't understand the pin. The robot says to enter again... after 3 tries it gives up. ...., and it does not understand your commands due to the line in not DTMF. You must troubleshoot DTMF problems with your VoIP connection through route-test com. They offer a free testing credits. You can find the solution quickly. #VoIP
  • Great podcast, very informative as always! That xbox sweater rocks Daniel!
  • I just hope that when we get the final build, all my WIndows apps, specifically Groove Music, will update to the latest revisions.  A lot of apps have stopped updating for a while on the PC that I am running the fast ring updates on.
  • Woah, you have to wait 7 seconds for skype to open. Step aside boys and let the pros teach you how it's done. WhatsApp takes NO LESS than 14 seconds to open on my Fierce XL even with a clean install. The WC app can take upwards of a minute to respond (assuming it doesn't force quit), skype is only marginally faster than WhatsApp, and FB messenger only launches ~30% of the time and it takes a good 10-15 seconds minimum.
