Interesting and good news. So my assumption is MS will cancel my EA Access account automatically for me?
-
I too have an existing EA Play subscription till next year. It most likely will just be absorbed into Gamepass and existing subs ended, maybe with a refund or an extension to gamepass months.
That said, It's always best to go seek the information from the source. -
"Users who have both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play purchased through Xbox will have their EA Play membership canceled and any remaining time over 50 days will be rounded up and converted to the nearest month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a ratio of 3:1 based on ERP" https://twitter.com/majornelson/status/1303685114497363968

This is crazy. I guess this is the games in the vault?
-
On the upside, it'll also give you a discount on their titles. So January 1st FIFA is a bargain.
-
Well, that's a very pleasant surprise! It's amazing to me how consumer-friendly they have made Xbox/Windows gaming.
-
Wow. Just wow.
-
This is huge!!!
-
It'll help, but it's EA. They don't actually have a lot of titles I want to play. FIFA is there, but it takes an age to come to the vault. Unbelievably, it's Peggle I'm happiest with.
-
Same here. but it's EA. A lot of people are crazy about their games and buy them yearly
-
Woo! Finally we can hopefully save money on all these The Sims+expansions reboot for every The Sims version they put out, which my partner is so crazy about 🤔
-
Too many games to play, so little time.
-
I want a Game Pass that gives you extra time in your life.
-
This is a home run by Microsoft on an already unmissable offer.
-
Wow O_O...this is **huge** Like fdruid said, I need a Game Pass with more time in my life...
-
I'm concerned about a price increase later down the road.
-
A discrepancy on your headline as "now includes" and "will soon include" are two different things
-
Is XGP PC price going to increase soon? (not because of this EA thing, but because of "coming out of beta" thing) Is there any way to stock on years of XGP PC while the price is low? (I had already used XGPU for $1 earlier, without knowing about the conversion. So I can't use that again.)
-
Thats funny, it was announced right after you posted that. I forgot it was only $5 because of the beta.
