What you need to know

  • AOC announces the C24G2AE, C24G2U, C27G2AE, and C27G2U gaming monitors.
  • All four monitors include a 1080p VA curved panel with FreeSync Premium and a refresh rate of 165Hz.
  • Prices start from £169 ($220) with availability coming in September 2020.

AOC announced for new curved displays to bolster its G2 gaming series of panels. These new monitors include two 24-inch and two 27-inch displays, depending on performance preference. The C24G2AE, C24G2U, C27G2AE, and C27G2U all employ full HD VA panels with a 1500R curvature. On paper, these displays will be a solid match to the best graphics cards you can afford.

Not only that, but we're talking gaming monitors and AOC hasn't forgotten important specifications. 165Hz refresh rate is joined by a 1ms response time, and AMD FreeSync Premium (basically, HDR) support. The two AE models are more affordable options without many thrills, while U models come with a height-adjustable stand, as well as a USB 3.2 hub for hooking up accessories.

All four panels rock AOC's famed red and black design with some accents to make them less boring to look at without being in-game. AOC opted to go with 1080p panels to make sure gamers will be able to enjoy all their titles at maximum refresh rate. The C24G2AE, C27G2AE, C24G2U, and C27G2U will be available in September 2020 for £169 ($220), £229 ($300), £189 ($250) and £249 ($330), respectively.
