Extinction was originally revealed in June 2017 and since then we haven't heard much about the development process. Today, developer Iron Galaxy finally announced the release date for the game: April 10, 2018.
In Extinction, players take on the role of Avil, who is the last of the legendary Sentinels, the only warriors capable of toppling the Ravenii. Unfortunately, there are a lot of Ravenii and Avil is all that stands between the towering ogres and the survival of the human race. It's definitely a daunting task.
The game features intense skill-based combat that requires practice to master. You'll have to traverse the environment with precision while executing devastating attacks on your enemies. The best part is that you can use your whip to launch Avil into the air while dealing a powerful assault on monstrous beasts who want nothing more than to kill you. The goal is to simply annihilate everything that stands between you and rescuing the people of Dolorum.
Unlike a traditional action game, enemies can come at you from the ground or the air. These creatures, known as Jackals and Vultures, have to be dealt with in their own ways.
If you love games like Attack on Titan, be sure to check out Extinction in the coming months. The game will be available on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.
