Basketball Live bounces into the Windows Phone Store

Just in time for the upcoming NBA Season, Basketball Live has landed in the Windows Phone Store. The regular season for the National Basketball Association begins on October 30, 2012 and Basketball Live will help bring all the news, scores, and highlights of the season to your Windows Phone.

Basketball Live is from the same group, Denham Software Solutions, that developed NFL Live and Baseball Live. Basketball Live shares many of the same features as the football and baseball versions.

Basketball Live's main pages cover news, scores, team stats, and a More Page that includes league stats, videos, NBA Tweets and the apps' settings.

Key features for Basketball Live include:

  • Latest NBA Basketball news
  • Ability to share a news article through email, Facebook or twitter
  • Live scoreboard of current games
  • Live Game details including stats and detailed play information
  • When viewing game details shake your phone to refresh the score
  • Twitter feeds for the NBA, ESPN, NBC, TNT, Yahoo Sports
  • Team Information including schedule and roster information
  • Ability to set your favorite team which will create a unique app landing page unique to your team
  • ESPN videos

While the app is not affiliated or endorsed by the NBA, Basketball Live is a well designed, information packed app for your Windows Phone. If you need to keep track of the NBA season while on the go, Basketball Live is an app worth trying. The only thing missing is a NCAA Basketball section.

Basketball Live is a free app for your Windows Phone that you can snatch up here (opens in new tab) at the Windows Phone Store.

Thanks, Brock, for the tip!

  • I really like ESPN score enter for a number of reasons. I'll give this a shot, but might be tough to take on the former.
  • how did you end up liking it?
  • These "Live" series of sports apps by denhamsolutions are really well done.  ESPN Sportscenter is nice, but you only get scores for your teams and no live tile functionality is kind of a bummer.  With these you get all game scores, stats, news, twitter feeds, etc.  The interface is nice and though it is ad driven, still very clean and responsive.  Would love to see a paid version for them, would likely buy some of them.
  • What kind of live tile info does it show haven't tried it out yet.
  • Very nice so far. Hope it doesn't take too long to load when the season is in full swing
  • I am a fan of the Pro Sports series of the Windows Phone, it is innovative on every update, got plenty of data, it is fully social, and best of all it is faster, I use Football Pro '13 more times than the NFL Live, and probably will do the same for the NBA.
  • it sucks no live tile game score. Besides Lakers sucks so basketball :-P
