Best Buy offers 12 months of Xbox Live Gold for just $40

Best Buy is holding its own sale on a pre-paid card with 12 months of Xbox Live Gold. It's available online, or via in-store pickup, for just $39.99, or $20 off its normal $59.99 price.

We have seen these kinds of sales before on 12 month Xbox Live Gold memberships, but if you live near a Best Buy store, you won't have to wait for the mail to show up to get the card. You can simply order it from the website and then drive down and pick it up yourself.

Xbox Live Gold not only allows Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners to play online multiplayer games, but it also offers up to four free games per month that in total are worth more than the cost of a one-year subscription. In other words, getting 12 months of Xbox Live for a $20 discount is a pretty good value.
