Blair Witch is an upcoming first-person horror game based on the popular film franchise of the same name. Just like the cult classic movies, the game combines exploration and found footage. Today, during Gamescom 2019, Bloober Team and Lionsgate Games released a brand-new Blair Witch story trailer.

According to the companies, the new trailer gives players a look into the original story through never-before-seen gameplay. There are flashbacks and eerie visions that plague Ellis as he ventures deeper into the Black Hills Forest. We also get a glimpse at what awaits as Ellis discovers the infamous witch house.

Blair Witch should be available through Xbox Game Pass on August 30. You can purchase the title separately, but the subscription on Xbox One starts at $10 a month. If you're an Xbox Live Gold member as well, you may want to consider Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which bundles Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass for PC, and Xbox Live Gold into one package for $15 a month.

If you're an Xbox One X owner, you're in for a treat because the game runs at 4K resolution on the machine. It should look unbelievably crisp on modern displays. Beware though, you may see more of the Blair Witch than you bargained for!
