  • Been considering something like this for an upcoming trip - I do have a Surface Pro 3 but not sure I want to carry something so expensive half way around the world or not Sent from Microsoft Band
  • Good point. I didn't think about this. I will study abroad in May and have to address this. I have an i7 laptop I'd rather not worry about needing to replace.
  • Took one of these to MWC (because it's in for review) and used it a fair bit. While my XPS 13 stayed wrapped up nice and safe away from harm.
  • Although I'd rather not lose or damage anything at all, I'd definitely be less bothered if a £130 laptop was stolen, compared to my SP3 which would be quite devastating. If I really did need my Surface Pro 3 with me for this trip I'd just take it, but I'm just taking a computer along "just in case" and may be useful on the loooong flight. Sent from Microsoft Band
  • @Dan Harris, did you really type that entire post on your Microsoft Band?
  • Just a bad joke on my part :) I should probably remove it as a few people have asked. It's feasible we could reply to post from our Band in the future though via the WC app (Hopefully)
  • How did you find it overall? I think the CPU is either the same, or very similar to what was in the Dell Venue 8 Pro, I always found the performance of that to be quite nice (A lot better than my Stream 7 which I don't like)
  • It's not bad. I used it with Opera browser and it's done OK. Screen is bright at least but it's got a nice keyboard and the battery life is pretty good.
  • not worth it, old HW for that price? Forget about it.
  • Lenovo Miix 300 is available for £119 from John Lewis with a 2 year warranty. A much better alternative. Better battery life, IPS, touchscreen, detachable tablet. Good effort though WC.
  • I've had the Miix 300 for about 3 weeks and I love it. I still struggle a bit with keeping my thumbs off of the trackpad as I type, but aside from that I love this 2-in-1. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Onda with 4gb ram and 64 gb storage is with the same price...
  • & all of the usual hardware shortcomings of Chinese tablets. Ropey screens, poor battery life, average build quality etc etc.
  • I just got a Teclast X98 Pro with 64gb storage, 4gb ram and x5-z8500 processor.
It runs W10 64 bit and Android 5.1, had it about 24 hours now and loving it so far. Finally I can play Football Manager on the go and a few other games not on the W10 store.
  • Lenovo virus-infected firmware? No thanks, I'll stick with my Surface 3.
  • Old news. Time to move on
  • I have, to non-Lenovo products.
  • This is a good little laptop. It's not super fast or amazing specs, but it does what I need it to a lot of the time and for very little money. I picked one up because I needed a Windows Laptop to log data from the ECU of my car , and I didn't like carrying my MacBook Air (w/ boot camp) around at the risk of getting damaged or stolen. I got mine here in the US for $149 from the local BestBuy.  My only "issue" is that it doesn't support duel touch on the trackpad, which makes scrolling annoying. But I've gotten used to it. I absolutely love this thing though!
